What to do if you feel weak after giving birth

Many women experience various changes in their bodies after pregnancy. After ten months of pregnancy, the final critical period is delivery. After delivery, when the baby is born, the mother's body will become very weak. Because during childbirth, whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section, the mother needs to expend a lot of physical energy. So you will feel tired and have no strength. What should I do if I feel weak after giving birth?

1. Supplement a lot of protein

The body is weak after childbirth, and a large amount of protein is also needed to restore the reproductive organs and the functions of the internal organs. Protein is the material basis of life. It contains a large amount of amino acids and is the basic substance for repairing tissues and organs. These are very necessary for the mother herself. Foods rich in protein include eggs, lean pork, chicken, rabbit meat, beef, fish, soy products, millet, beans, etc.

2. Supplement vitamins

The requirement for various vitamins after delivery increases by more than 1 times compared to before pregnancy. Therefore, various vitamins must be increased in the postpartum diet to maintain the mother's own health, promote milk secretion, and meet the baby's growth needs. Foods rich in vitamins include tomatoes, beans, garlic, cabbage, eggplant, radish, etc.

3. Supplement iron-containing foods

Iron is the main component of hemoglobin in the blood, and adequate iron supplementation is important, especially after childbirth. Due to the expansion of blood volume during pregnancy and the needs of the fetus, about half of pregnant women suffer from iron deficiency anemia, and about 200 mg of iron is lost due to blood loss during delivery. Breastfeeding will result in the loss of some breast milk. Therefore, you should add more iron-rich foods such as egg yolks, pig blood, black fungus, red dates, animal liver, brown sugar, and soy products to your diet.

4. Drink more soup

New mothers must drink more soup after giving birth, because soup is not only delicious, but also easy to digest and absorb, and can promote milk secretion, such as brown sugar water, crucian carp soup, pig's trotter soup, pork ribs soup, etc., but the soup and meat must be eaten together. It should be noted that the drinking time of brown sugar water should not exceed 10 days, because drinking it for too long will increase the amount of blood in the lochia, causing the mother to be in a chronic blood loss process and develop anemia.
