Non-lactational mastitis lumps

Non-lactational mastitis lumps

Some friends may feel that they have lumps in their breasts when they are not breastfeeding. In fact, we need to pay attention to this type of feeling and symptoms, because there are many types of breast diseases among female friends, and some are relatively common types. The appearance of the lump-type non-lactation mastitis usually causes obvious lumps or pain in the patient's breasts.

When it comes to the issue of mastitis, I believe most people will first think of breastfeeding women. However, in recent years, the incidence of non-lactation mastitis is also very high, which can cause patients to have problems such as breast swelling, dull pain and even nodules. Patients should pay attention to it in time and actively check and treat it. What are the causes of non-lactation mastitis lumps? How to treat non-lactation mastitis lumps?

What are the causes of non-lactational mastitis lumps?

(1) Patients consume too much fatty food, which may lead to breast blockage, infection, etc., and then cause mastitis.

(2) When women have inverted or deformed nipples, the opening of the mammary ducts may become abnormal, narrow, or dilated, which may lead to granulomatous mastitis and plasma cell mastitis. Generally speaking, non-lactation mastitis lump type is mostly an autoimmune disease and has little to do with bacterial infection, so it is generally regarded as mastitis caused by non-bacterial infection.

(3) Special infections with anaerobic bacteria may also lead to the occurrence of non-lactation mastitis lumps, so patients must be cautious.

How to treat non-lactation mastitis lumps?

In the case of non-lactation mastitis lump type, the patient will gradually develop breast lumps, which are generally not as rapid as the onset of acute breast abscesses. Therefore, the skin will not become red, swollen, hot or painful, and may experience slight pain or even no pain.

There is no need to incise the abscess for acute drainage in treatment. Generally, for the mass type of non-lactation mastitis, it is only necessary to control the local inflammation. If a central abscess is formed, the condition can be controlled by removing the inflammation and dilating the surrounding ducts.

The above is an introduction to the lump-type non-lactation mastitis. There are many types of non-lactation mastitis. Different types of mastitis have different symptoms and treatment methods. But in any case, I hope that patients can go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and treatment. Don’t think that you can just endure it and it will pass.
