What medicine should women use for varicose veins

Varicose veins in women are also a relatively common disease. Varicose veins are quite harmful to people. They can occur in many parts of the body. Usually for women, some jobs require frequent standing, which is an important cause of varicose veins. You can also use some topical medications to achieve a certain swelling effect, but if you want to completely cure it, you still need to go to the hospital for regular examination and then receive good treatment.

1. Varicose vein laser closure

(Intravenous EVLT technology): Using the characteristics of semiconductor laser conduction, a thin optical fiber is punctured into the blood vessel, and the laser is conducted to accurately damage the vascular endothelium, causing venous fibrosis to achieve the purpose of blood vessel closure. So far, EVLT laser therapy is the most minimally invasive technology for treating varicose veins with the least damage, the easiest operation, the safest method, and is truly the best.

2. Compression therapy

Medical compression stockings are used to treat varicose veins. Medical graduated decompression stockings establish the highest support pressure at the ankle and gradually decrease upward along the leg. Reduce the pressure in the calf to 70%-90% of the maximum value, and in the thigh to 25%-45% of the maximum value. This decreasing change in pressure can allow venous blood to return to the lower limbs, effectively alleviating or improving the pressure on the lower limb veins and venous valves. It is best to wear compression stockings in the early morning before getting out of bed and not take them off until you go to bed at night.

3. Sclerotherapy

To treat varicose veins, a hypertonic solution (such as highly concentrated saline or a sclerosing agent) is injected into the varicose veins to destroy the vascular endothelium, causing it to heal and disappear. However, it can only treat small varicose blood vessels, and the treatment may cause severe pain, pigmentation, and even inflammation, redness, swelling, ulceration and other sequelae. It is also easy to relapse and difficult to deal with after relapse, so it is only suitable for a small number of patients.

4. Surgical extraction

An incision is made in the groin, and the great saphenous vein is cut, ligated or extracted. Semi-or general anesthesia is required, and hospitalization for 2-3 days is required. If the varicose veins are too severe, several small incisions may be needed to remove the varicose veins section by section. It is a complete treatment for varicose veins but has the disadvantages of subcutaneous bruising and more painful wounds.

5. Extravascular laser or pulsed light

The treatment principle of varicose veins is the same as that of laser beauty for removing spots. The advantage of this treatment is that it only requires local anesthesia, the treatment time is short, the pain is low, the wound is quite small, it will not leave ugly scars, and you can walk immediately. However, it only treats tiny varicose spider veins and requires several treatments at your own expense to be effective.

6. Intravascular cautery therapy

A small incision is made on the inside of the knee or ankle, and a very thin catheter is inserted. High-frequency waves (or radio frequency) or laser beams are used to burn and block blood flow in the varicose veins. Simple intravascular ablation surgery has the advantages of being able to be performed under local anesthesia, no need for hospitalization, less scarring and pain, and the patient can walk home with a bandage after treatment, and has a high success rate. However, health insurance does not cover the treatment and patients have to pay for it themselves. Moreover, most patients may not be able to be cured by this method alone and may need to be supplemented with other methods such as minimally invasive varicose vein excision system for a more complete treatment.
