The uneven echo of the intimal thickness is usually detected by B-ultrasound and is a professional term for B-ultrasound examination. It mainly refers to the fact that the uterine wall shows thickened but irregular echo-reflecting surface under the ultrasound probe. When many women receive such warnings from ultrasound reports, they are always confused. So what is the reason? During a normal menstrual cycle, the thickness of the uterine wall changes with the influence of growth hormone. The increase in estrogen levels can cause the uterine wall to undergo proliferative changes, while the presence of estrogen causes the uterine wall to enter a metabolic phase in preparation for pregnancy. But if there is no pregnancy, the uterine wall during the metabolic period will quickly peel off as the growth hormone withdraws and menstruation will occur. During this period, the uterine wall is extremely thin. Under physiological conditions, the thickness of the uterine wall, which changes with the influence of growth hormone, is basically uniform. If the intima is thick and the echo is uneven, the following conditions may need to be considered: 1. Uterine wall hyperplasia: Due to female endocrine imbalance, the uterine wall is stimulated by estrogen alone without the resistance of estrogen, resulting in continuous proliferation of the uterine wall. This type of endometrial tissue is usually more sensitive, and some parts shed irregularly under the fluctuation of estrogen, resulting in endometrial thickening and uneven echo. 2. Uterine intrauterine polyps: It is a chronic inflammatory disease of the uterine wall. Under the stimulation of inflammation, the uterine wall partially proliferates, and single or multiple cyst-like growths are formed on the uterine wall tissue in the uterine cavity. Under B-ultrasound, it can be manifested as an asymmetrical image between the cyst and other normal uterine walls. 3. Endometrial cancer: The continuous effect of estrogen levels causes the endometrium to thicken, which is also one of the main causes of endometrial cancer. When lesions occur in the uterine wall, the invasion of cancerous tissue may cause the local expansion of the diseased area or ulceration and necrosis, which is compared with the normal uterine thickening endometrium nearby, and manifests as uneven echoes. 4. Incomplete repair of the uterine wall: It often occurs after childbirth or abortion. After the damage to the uterine wall caused by childbirth or miscarriage, endocrine hormones have not been fully adjusted, so there will be uneven echoes of the uterine wall, which will gradually improve with the recovery of endocrine function. |
