Purulent leucorrhea

Purulent leucorrhea

Purulent leucorrhea is also called purulent leucorrhea. This is an abnormal leucorrhea. If women have this abnormal leucorrhea in their daily life, they should go to the hospital for examination in time and conduct routine examination of leucorrhea. Generally speaking, this situation is related to some inflammation, such as vaginitis and other gynecological diseases. Through some symptoms of leucorrhea, we can roughly understand some specific conditions. Let's take a look at this aspect.

Purulent leucorrhea

The color is yellow or yellow-green, the texture is thick and has a foul smell. Purulent leucorrhea is often caused by bacterial infection, often caused by purulent bacterial infections such as Trichomonas vaginitis, chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis, endometritis, uterine effusion, vaginal foreign bodies, etc. So, what does purulent leucorrhea look like?

There is often a small amount of secretion in a woman's vagina, which is mainly a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudate, cervical canal, endometrium and fallopian tube gland secretions, etc., which is called leucorrhea. Normal leucorrhea is egg white-like or white paste-like, without any fishy smell, in small amount, milky white, or colorless and transparent, sometimes sticky, and without any peculiar smell. During adolescence, leucorrhea is affected by estrogen and changes periodically, sometimes increasing and sometimes decreasing. The leucorrhea is bright and abundant during ovulation, but less at other times. The formation of leucorrhea is related to the action of estrogen - generally 2-3 days before and after menstruation, increasing during ovulation and pregnancy, and less before puberty and after menopause. If vaginal inflammation, cervical inflammation or internal genital tissue cancer occurs, the amount of leucorrhea will increase significantly, the properties will change or it may be accompanied by a foul odor.

Increased amount of leucorrhea or abnormal characteristics is called pathological leucorrhea, which is usually caused by inflammation of the reproductive organs. The inflammation causes the infiltration of white blood cells. The leucorrhea is mixed with a large number of white blood cells and usually appears purulent. It is very different in color, nature, smell, etc. Changes in the characteristics of leucorrhea are often closely related to vaginal infection or reproductive system diseases. Purulent leucorrhea has a foul odor and is accompanied by itching and discomfort in the vulva, which is often a manifestation of vaginitis. Bloody leucorrhea is often seen in lesions of the cervix or uterus. Therefore, every woman should observe the characteristics of her leucorrhea and seek medical attention in a timely manner if there are any abnormalities.

The following points should also be noted in life:

1. Similar to the armpits, the vulva is also prone to sweating. In addition to taking a shower every day, it is best to wash the vulva immediately after sweating during exercise.

2. Keeping the genitals dry is the most important thing, so sweat-absorbent cotton underwear is the first choice, and avoid stuffy and non-breathable clothing such as jeans. Although the popular thongs are sexy, they are not good at absorbing sweat and can easily cause friction and breakage of the skin, giving bacteria the opportunity to invade. It is best to wear them less.

3. When there is a lot of secretion, the bottom of the pants will become wet, and some women will think of sanitary pads. However, it is recommended to use sanitary pads as little as possible and change underwear instead.

4. After defecation, toilet paper should be used to wipe from front to back to avoid the toilet paper touching the anus first, because there are more bacteria in the anus.

5. Sexual intercourse will also increase the chance of infection. The vulva should be cleaned before intercourse, and Kegel exercises (abdominal force, pelvic contraction) should be performed after intercourse to expel semen. Because semen is alkaline, it will change the pH value of the vagina. Or use condoms to avoid ejaculation of semen.

6. In addition to fungi, some pathogens are easily found in men. If a woman is infected, she must pay attention to whether her sexual partner also has similar problems (such as urethritis) and should treat them together. Otherwise, after the woman is cured, she may be cross-infected due to sexual contact and relapse again and again.
