Menstruation is delayed by 7 to 10 days every month

Delayed menstruation is very common. Many female friends even have delayed menstruation by about 7 to 10 days every month. This will cause many problems for patients, resulting in sub-health status and may even cause infertility. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with it in time to find out the specific cause of the disease so that appropriate treatment can be found.

The main problems that menstrual disorders bring to patients are as follows, and treatment should also start with solving these problems:

(1) Bleeding and anemia: caused by long menstrual periods and heavy menstrual flow. In addition to general hemostatic measures, hormones or curettage may be used to stop bleeding as appropriate.

(2) Cyclic disorders: Estrogen and progesterone alone or in combination can be used for cyclical treatment. It can also be treated with traditional Chinese medicine.

(3) Infertility: Dysfunction of one or more links in the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis causes anovulation, which is one of the pathophysiological bases of menstrual disorders and one of the causes of infertility. Some patients may ovulate but have insufficient luteal function, which can also cause infertility. Different ovulation-inducing drugs are selected according to the patient's condition to improve the function of the ovaries or replace part of the function of the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, thereby inducing ovulation or enhancing the function of the corpus luteum to achieve the purpose of conception.

It is quite difficult to completely restore the normal physiological function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis. During the development process, due to the unstable functions of various links or temporary disorders during the process of ovarian function decline, the functions can often be improved or stabilized after a period of conservative treatment and waiting. Most menstrual disorders are currently only symptomatic and cannot be cured. Even if the infertility problem is solved, the old disease often recurs after childbirth. Some require lifelong treatment or surgical treatment.

1. Time extension

2. Reduced menstrual volume or shortened menstrual cycle

3. Increased menstrual volume or prolonged menstrual cycle

4. The menstrual cycle becomes irregular: the interval between two menstrual periods is different or changes; the number of days of menstruation is different or changes; the start time of the next menstrual period cannot be accurately predicted.
