Brown color after menstruation

Brown color after menstruation

Menstruation is a reflection of a woman's physical maturity. Many women will have their periods when they reach a certain age. The menstrual period is different from normal times. There will be dysmenorrhea, various physical discomforts, greater mood swings, and sometimes even temper tantrums for no reason. The color and amount of menstruation also reflect a person's physical condition. Why do some women have brown color in the last few days of their menstruation?

Normal menstrual cycle:

Normal menstruation is cyclical, and each period generally lasts an average of 3-5 days. If the menstrual period exceeds seven days, it is abnormal. The normal color of menstruation should be blood red, and the amount of blood should be moderate. When the color of menstrual blood is abnormal, it is usually black or brown, and there may be an increase or decrease in the amount of menstrual blood.

There are several reasons why your period turns brown a few days after menstruation:

1. It may be caused by gynecological inflammation. When inflammation occurs in the female urogenital tract, it may cause light brown menstruation. This is because when the uterine contraction function weakens, it is easy for blood to accumulate in the uterus and flow poorly, so the metabolic waste in the blood increases, appearing as brown or black.

2. The possible reason is that anemia leads to poor blood circulation function, so each unit of blood contains more waste, which manifests as abnormal color of menstrual blood, small amount of brown menstrual blood, and can cause women to look pale.

3. The cause of changes in menstrual color may also be excessive mental stress, the influence of external factors, endocrine disorders, or taking contraceptives.

If the color of menstruation is brown and the amount is small in the late stage of menstruation, you should go to the hospital for a check-up. Whether menstruation is normal or not indicates whether a woman is healthy. If there is a problem with menstruation, it will accelerate women’s aging and memory loss. In severe cases, it may lead to infertility, so we must pay attention to it. Pay attention to conditioning your body at ordinary times and increase dietary nutrition appropriately during treatment.
