Will the cervix open if the labor pain is irregular?

Will the cervix open if the labor pain is irregular?

We know that contractions are usually regular, usually every 4-5 minutes. If the contractions are irregular, you should communicate with your doctor in time to ensure your physical condition. If you do not understand your physical condition, it may affect the production of the fetus and is not conducive to normal delivery. Girls should be prepared for labor pains to avoid panicking. So, will the cervix open if the contractions are irregular?

1. Causes of labor pains before childbirth

1. Pain caused by contraction of the mother's uterus. When the fetus has completed its development in the mother's uterus, the mother's uterus will begin to contract so that the fetus can descend from the cervix, and the uterus pushes the fetus out through contraction.

2. The fetus stretches its body and compresses the birth canal, causing pain. After entering the labor process, the fetus's curled body will stretch to facilitate delivery through the birth canal, and the birth canal will be squeezed by the fetus, causing labor pains.

3. The fetus descends into the pelvis, compressing the pelvic nerves and bones and causing pain.

What does labor pain feel like?

1. General pain

The location of prenatal labor pains is not limited to the abdomen, but also includes the waist, buttocks, ankles, heels and other parts. The mother will feel stretched, and the cervix and vagina will also feel severe pain.

2. Muscle tension

As the degree of labor pain increases, the mother's muscles throughout the body will instinctively tighten and stiffen.

3. The process of labor pain

1. The labor pains change from irregular to regular, and the intervals between them shorten.

After officially entering the labor process, the mother's uterus begins to contract and labor pains begin. The initial feeling is a slow, dull pain in the abdomen, and there may be irregular pain in the lower back. The intervals between subsequent pains began to become shorter and the pain became stronger.

2. When the cervix is two fingers wide

After the cervix opens to about two fingers' width, uterine contractions increase to once every 3 to 5 minutes, each lasting 30 to 40 seconds.

3. When the cervix is fully dilated

When the cervix is almost fully dilated, uterine contractions increase to once every 1 to 2 minutes, each lasting 45 to 60 seconds. When a woman experiences regular labor pains, she should go to the hospital in time to give birth.
