Is pelvic fluid blood or water?

The pelvic cavity is a very important tissue for women. In fact, both men and women have pelvic cavities, but the functional characteristics of the female pelvic cavity are stronger. It is the support of the female reproductive tract and has a great impact on reproductive health. However, the pelvic cavity is also a high-incidence area for women's health problems. For example, pelvic effusion is a common gynecological problem, which is very harmful. Let's take a look at whether pelvic effusion is blood or water?

Generally speaking, pelvic fluid is water. Pelvic effusion refers to the presence of inflammatory exudate in the pelvic cavity. It can occur after the endometrium becomes inflamed. It is a slightly viscous fluid that exudes from the swollen cells of the endometrial tissue and is gradually wrapped by the surrounding tissue to form a cystic mass.

Pelvic effusion is caused by inflammation, that is, by exudation from chronic pelvic inflammation. A few cases are caused by ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. Those caused by acute or chronic pelvic inflammatory disease are often accompanied by lower abdominal pain (bilateral or unilateral), lumbar pain, and a history of surgical or medical abortion. The specific reason for the effusion is that the serous exudate caused by inflammation cannot be absorbed by the body and slowly accumulates in the body. Pelvic effusion often occurs in lower parts of the pelvic cavity, such as the rectouterine pouch.

Here are some things you can do to prevent pelvic fluid accumulation:

1. Women should pay attention to hygiene during menstruation, pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period to prevent infection.

2. Women should prevent the abuse of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Whether taken orally or by injection, antibiotics will inhibit the lactobacilli in the vagina, disrupt the natural ecological balance of the vagina, and change the vaginal microenvironment. Pathogenic bacterial pathogens may multiply, eventually leading to an attack of local candidal vaginitis, which in turn secretes inflammatory fluid and causes pelvic effusion.

3. Women should flush their vagina correctly. In order to maintain hygiene, some women often use medicated washes to clean the vagina, which can easily destroy the acid and alkaline environment of the vagina and make it easier to get candidal vaginitis. The correct way to rinse is to rinse with clean water.
