How to clean inverted nipples? Cleaning of inverted nipples

Inverted nipples cannot be cleaned regularly and will lead to infection and inflammation, which must be corrected and treated with traction, negative pressure suction, or surgery. After the operation, you must maintain a good diet and take timely nutritional supplements to allow the wound to heal as soon as possible.

1. Medication treatment

Secondary nipple inversion should be treated according to the cause, such as treatment of breast inflammation, trauma, tumors, etc. Primary nipple inversion can be treated with non-surgical or surgical treatment as appropriate. True inverted nipples require surgical correction.

1. Non-surgical treatment is mainly used to treat primary pseudo-inverted nipple. Surgery may be used as appropriate when ineffective.

(1) Manual traction: Perform nipple stretching exercises. Place your thumbs parallel to the sides of the nipple and slowly pull them outwards from the nipple to the sides, pulling the areola skin and subcutaneous tissue. Repeat this exercise several times. Then, place your thumbs on the upper and lower sides of the nipple and pull them vertically upwards and downwards. Repeat this exercise 2 times a day for 5 minutes each time.

(2) Negative pressure suction: Use a breast pump to apply negative pressure to the nipple, or place the empty barrel of a 5-10 ml empty syringe on the areola, connect the nipple of the syringe to another syringe through a rubber tube, and draw suction on the piston of the latter to create negative pressure, which helps to suck out the nipple (Figure 5).

2 Surgical treatment: For those with fully developed breasts and inverted nipples that are not effectively treated with repeated traction or negative pressure suction, nipple reconstructive surgery can be performed.

2. Diet and Health Care

1. Ensure adequate protein intake, such as lean meat, chicken, fish, eggs, beans, etc.; at the same time, also consume some starchy substances, such as noodles, rice, potatoes, etc.

2. Protein and starch are important substances for generating energy and regenerating skin, muscles and bones. They can also help patients strengthen their physique, stimulate the circulatory system and enable the body's repair function to function normally.

3. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also very beneficial. They are rich in plant fiber, which is good for preventing constipation after surgery. Vitamin C, beta-carotene and some other essential nutrients also play a good role in wound repair.
