Lumbar pain while lying down at 29 weeks of pregnancy

As the belly grows during pregnancy, the body will also undergo many changes. In particular, the enlarged uterus can easily compress the waist, often causing lower back pain. Some people experience lumbar pain when lying down. Due to the greater nutritional needs of the body during pregnancy and the changes in the body, adverse conditions are inevitable. You must pay attention to nutritional intake, take more calcium supplements, get more sun exposure, apply local hot compresses, avoid lifting heavy objects, etc.

1) Normal physiological reactions during pregnancy. As the fetus grows, the mother's weight will gradually increase after pregnancy. The continuous growth of the fetus causes the belly to bulge, and these weights increase the stress on the waist. 2) Due to hormone changes during pregnancy, muscle elasticity will be less, so the elasticity of the waist muscles will be weakened, which can easily lead to back pain. 3) Calcium deficiency can also cause low back pain. It is recommended that expectant mothers pay special attention to calcium supplementation throughout pregnancy. 4) Some pregnant mothers have an incorrect sitting posture. They do not pay attention to straightening their backs, and their lumbar spine tilts backwards. This will concentrate the weight of the entire upper body on the lumbar spine, increasing the burden on the lumbar spine and making it more likely to cause low back pain. Many pregnant mothers do not know how to walk, sleep, sit, etc. correctly. Bad habits in daily life are the most common cause of low back pain.

Maintaining a good sitting, standing, walking and sleeping posture from the beginning of pregnancy can effectively avoid or relieve back pain in early pregnancy.

Correct sitting posture: After pregnancy, you should choose an office chair with a softer cushion, which can effectively relieve the pressure on your back. You should also prepare a small stool to sit on and put your feet on, which can effectively promote blood circulation in your legs. Correct standing posture: After pregnancy, standing for a long time can easily lead to back pain, especially in the middle and late stages of pregnancy. Therefore, expectant mothers must avoid standing for too long during pregnancy. If you feel tired while standing, you should quickly find a place to sit down and rest. If the fighting time is long, you should stand with one foot in front and the other behind, and change the front and back positions every few minutes so that your weight falls on the outstretched front leg. Correct walking posture: When walking, pregnant mothers should straighten their backs, raise their heads, tighten their hips, land on their heels first, step firmly, and maintain whole body balance. You can use handrails or railings when walking, but remember to walk quickly and don't stick your abdomen forward.
