Red blood from medication

Red blood from medication

The blood that flows out after medical abortion is redder, which is a normal physiological phenomenon, especially when the gestational sac is discharged. At this time, the amount of vaginal bleeding is relatively large. As the gestational sac is discharged, the amount of bleeding will gradually decrease. Therefore, when using medicine for abortion, it is best to take the medicine in the hospital. After a few hours, the gestational sac will be discharged, and the amount of vaginal bleeding will gradually decrease. At this time, you can go home for recuperation.

Red blood from medication

Generally speaking, bleeding may last for 7-10 days after medical abortion, and no more than half a month at most. It is recommended that you take a good rest to recover your body after medical abortion, avoid fatigue, and avoid spicy, irritating, and cold food. You can go to the hospital for a B-ultrasound check 2 weeks after medical abortion to see whether the abortion is clean and the recovery of the uterus. You are prohibited from having sex within one month as it is easy to get gynecological diseases.

Does medical abortion affect pregnancy?

If you have had a medical abortion once and the process went smoothly, that is, the following three situations:

1. The gestational sac has been completely removed on the first day of medical abortion bleeding. 1-2 days after the gestational sac is discharged, the vaginal bleeding stops, or there is only a very small amount of blood. If it stops within 7 days after the gestational sac is discharged, it is considered successful.

2. Take drugs to prevent infection during medical abortion.

3. Menstruation will resume about one month after the medical abortion.

If the above three conditions are met, then it will have little impact on future pregnancies.

From the time you start taking medication for medical abortion until the abortion bleeding stops (within 7 days), and waiting for the new menstrual period to stop, you must rest well and not have sexual intercourse during this entire period. Do not take tonic food, drink alcohol, or take concentrated ginger soup until you are sure that the bleeding has completely stopped.

What are the symptoms of incomplete medical abortion?

Normal menstrual bleeding, in addition to blood, also contains some shed endometrium. If the shed endometrium is in relatively small fragments and mixed with the blood, it will not be very obvious. However, if the shed endometrium is larger, you will see things like "blood clots" or "lumps of meat", which is a normal phenomenon.

Incomplete medical abortion often causes symptoms such as lower back and abdominal pain, prolonged bleeding time, and heavy bleeding. If there is too much residual tissue, problems such as heavy bleeding and infection may occur. If an incomplete miscarriage is suspected after a miscarriage, a careful examination of the uterus, especially the two corners of the uterus, can generally determine whether the miscarriage is incomplete.

If your bleeding stops about 10 minutes after the miscarriage, the subsequent increased menstrual bleeding and prolonged menstruation will have little to do with incomplete miscarriage. The amount of bleeding increases slightly, and the bleeding usually stops in about 7 days, which is normal. However, if the amount of bleeding is heavy and the bleeding lasts for more than 10 days, you should go to the hospital for examination in time.
