One of the keys to improving the success rate of artificial insemination is to choose the accurate time of insemination: artificial insemination is most likely to succeed within 48 hours before ovulation to 12 hours after ovulation.

Commonly used detection methods are:

1. Basal body temperature (BBT) measurement: that is, the body temperature when the body is at rest. Record the basal body temperature measured daily during the menstrual cycle, draw a curve, and observe. The basal body temperature is lower during the follicular phase, and is lowest on the day of ovulation. The body temperature returns to normal from ovulation to 1 to 2 days before the next menstruation, or on the day of menstruation.

2. Cervical mucus examination: During ovulation, the cervical mucus is thin and transparent, and the mucus threads can be stretched to more than 10 cm. After ovulation, cervical mucus becomes cloudy, thicker, and less stringy. Fern-like crystals can be seen in cervical mucus smears before ovulation.

3. Hormone measurement to predict ovulation: The luteinizing hormone peak before ovulation can predict the time of ovulation.

4. Use B-ultrasound to monitor the development of follicles and the thickness of the endometrium.

1. After the artificial insemination operation, the patient should raise his hips and lie flat for 30 minutes. If he feels abdominal pain, bloating, vaginal discomfort and other symptoms, he should notify the medical staff in time for timely treatment.

2. Do not have sexual intercourse or take a bath within 2 weeks after artificial insemination. Patients can carry out normal work and activities, but should avoid strenuous exercise.

4. On the 14th day after artificial insemination, the patient can use an early pregnancy test to see if conception is successful, but false negatives or false positives may occur. If you want to know the accurate results, it is recommended to go to the hospital to check the blood HCG level.

5. If conception is successful, you should go to the hospital for prenatal check-ups regularly. In the 6th to 7th week, B-ultrasound examination is performed to check for fetal heartbeat to determine whether it is normal and the number of fetuses. Fetal reduction is required if the pregnancy is 3 or more. You should go to the obstetrics department for a check-up after 3 months of pregnancy.
