Although women's breasts are important to their appearance, they are also a private part. Moreover, they are also a part that is prone to disease. We must pay attention to breast hygiene to prevent breast hyperplasia and the occurrence of papillomavirus. Babies who are breastfed will be healthier and have stronger immunity, so many mothers choose to breastfeed for the healthy growth of their children. Breast fibroids are common benign breast tumors, which are generally believed to be closely related to the active action of estrogen and are more common during the period of active sexual function (18 to 25 years old). This disease often occurs in the outer quadrant of the breast, with about 75% being single and a few being multiple (simultaneous or different). Apart from the appearance of a lump, patients usually have no obvious subjective symptoms. Breast fibroids grow slowly; when touched, they are firm, have clear boundaries, a smooth surface, and are very easy to move. The menstrual cycle has no effect on the size of the lump. Among breast diseases, the incidence of breast fibroadenoma is third only to breast cystic hyperplasia and breast cancer. Among benign breast tumors, fibromas and fibroadenomas account for about 3/4. It is more common in young women aged 20 to 25 years old. Whether breast fibroadenoma will turn into malignancy is the most concerning issue for many patients and also the issue that clinicians are concerned about, because it is directly related to the prognosis of the disease and clinical countermeasures. It is generally believed that the chance of breast fibroadenoma becoming malignant is very low, with only about 0.2% of cases experiencing malignant transformation. Malignant transformation often occurs during pregnancy or lactation, or in older patients with a longer medical history. The malignant transformation of breast fibroadenomas is more common with sarcoma transformation, while cancer transformation is less common. Most scholars believe that the occurrence of breast cancer has nothing to do with breast fibroadenoma; some scholars believe that when patients with breast hyperplasia also suffer from fibroadenoma, the risk of cancer is increased; and some scholars point out that when postmenopausal women develop fibroadenoma, the tendency of cancer increases. Therefore, generally speaking, if you suffer from breast fibroadenoma, you don't need to be too nervous, especially young women around 20 years old. There is no need to worry about fibroadenoma. You just need to observe it under the supervision of a clinician. If the doctor deems it necessary, you can take medication for a period of time. If you find that the adenoma continues to grow in the near future, you can have elective surgery. If you are preparing to become pregnant, you can also consider surgical removal before pregnancy.Although only a very small proportion of breast fibroadenomas may become malignant, we should still be vigilant during clinical treatment, especially for those who are over 35 years old and have a tumor larger than 2 cm, who should in principle undergo surgical resection. |
