What does it mean when a woman's white blood cell count is 20?

Women's health check-ups are very important in modern life, because they can detect signs of some diseases in time and eliminate them before they affect the body. Women's physical examinations are mostly based on biochemical tests, that is, checking substances in the body, such as the number of white blood cells, etc. Let's take a look at what does the white blood cell count of 20 in a female microscopic examination mean? I hope women can understand it.

Two plus signs on white blood cells and epithelial cells indicate inflammation, possibly a recurrence of vaginitis.

The leucorrhea is examined and judged according to the number of epithelial cells, white blood cells (or pus cells), vaginal bacilli and miscellaneous bacteria found, and the degree of cleanliness is divided into: grades I and II are normal; grades III and IV are unclean.

Grade I is: bacilli 4+, epithelial cells 4+, white blood cells 0-5, and cocci negative; Grade II is: bacilli++, epithelial cells++, white blood cells 5-15, and cocci negative; Grades I and II are clinically normal. Grade III means no bacilli and epithelial cells, 15-30 white blood cells, and cocci++, indicating inflammation; Grade IV means no bacilli and epithelial cells, greater than 30 white blood cells, and cocci 4+, indicating severe vaginitis. The reference value is that grades I and II are normal; grades III and IV are unclean, and pathogenic microorganisms can often be found at the same time, indicating the presence of vaginitis caused by infection. Vaginal cleanliness is related to ovarian function. The vagina tends to be cleaner before ovulation, and becomes unclean when estrogen decreases. The result is normal and there is no need to worry too much.

In addition, vaginal secretions are usually collected by obstetricians and gynecologists. Sexual intercourse, tub baths, vaginal irrigation, and local medication are prohibited within 24 hours before specimen collection. Generally, sterilized cotton swabs are used to collect samples from deep in the vagina, the posterior part of the vaginal vault, the cervical canal, etc.

It is recommended to use Cleansing Solution for cleaning, insert metronidazole effervescent tablets deep into the vagina, and take metronidazole tablets orally at the same time.

You can also use potassium permanganate lotion or Cleanser to clean the genitals, administer Daktarin suppositories vaginally, change your underwear frequently and sterilize it.
