Gestational sac 34x14mm without fetal heart and fetal bud

If you are a woman who has never been pregnant, you may have rarely heard of what a gestational sac is. However, as the name suggests, a gestational sac is a substance related to female pregnancy. In fact, it is like this. The gestational sac is the material form in which the baby of a pregnant woman first exists. Generally, in the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant mothers can understand the development of the baby through the development of the gestational sac. So what does it mean that the gestational sac is 34x14mm and has no fetal heart or fetal bud?

1. What is a gestational sac?

The gestational sac is the primitive placental tissue, a small embryo wrapped by the amniotic membrane and vascular network. The gestational sac is the initial form of pregnancy. At that time, the fetus has not yet formed, and the fetal heartbeat is already there when the embryonic bud appears. The gestational sac is also a product of ectopic pregnancy. The fertilized egg fails to enter the uterus at 7 days due to certain factors such as inflammation and adhesion. Ectopic pregnancy usually causes heavy bleeding, and generally the fetus cannot survive. The mother of the little baby was experiencing an intrauterine pregnancy, but due to poor development of the uterus, the gestational sac broke through the weak top of the uterus and entered the abdominal cavity. The villi around the gestational sac sought nutrients everywhere in the abdominal cavity and then supplied them to the fetus through the placenta. Usually, such a fetus will die within two months because it has no protection from the uterine environment and lives in an extremely harsh environment with poor nutrition.

2. Size of the gestational sac at 40 days of pregnancy

Generally, the embryonic bud and fetal heartbeat can be seen in 40 days. When the gestational sac reaches about 1 cm, the fetal heartbeat should be visible. On the 40th day of pregnancy, a membrane forms inside the fetus's nose, which is responsible for sensing odors. Her eyes were still tightly closed, but tissue had begun to form inside them.

Some mothers have not shown early pregnancy symptoms on the 40th day of pregnancy. It usually starts on the 42nd day, but they should also pay attention to nutritional balance, supplement more folic acid, and eat more light foods.

Some pregnant women have strong early pregnancy reactions, have no appetite, vomit until they feel weak all over, and become increasingly thin. This is hyperemesis gravidarum. Due to severe vomiting, a large amount of digestive juice is vomited out, and pregnant women cannot eat or drink water. The potassium intake is insufficient, which causes low blood potassium and hypokalemia, which manifests as weakness, mental depression, drowsiness, and in severe cases even endangers the life of the mother and fetus. Hyperemesis gravidarum is related to mental factors, so you must be strong and optimistic after pregnancy. Being a mother is a very happy thing, but also very difficult. It requires the courage to bear everything. Regarding early pregnancy reactions, we must realize that it is just a physiological phenomenon and treat it with a good attitude.

The main symptoms of pregnancy during the forty days include cessation of menstruation, breast tenderness, unexplained nausea and vomiting, increased frequency of urination, abnormal basal body temperature, fatigue in the early stages of pregnancy, and frequent wanting to sleep. Most women may experience dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness, increased salivation, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting after 6 weeks of pregnancy. Vomiting often occurs in the early morning or on an empty stomach. These are all symptoms of early pregnancy.
