Does low menstrual flow affect pregnancy?

Women have menstruation every month, which is a normal physiological phenomenon and is closely related to pregnancy. The amount of menstruation depends not only on whether there is a sound neuroendocrine system and complete reproductive organs and other physiological basics. So, will light menstrual flow affect pregnancy? Can I get pregnant with a small menstrual flow?

Does a small amount of menstrual flow affect pregnancy?

1. The menstrual flow is small, but the ovaries are normal. This situation does not affect pregnancy. The menstrual volume of a healthy woman is about 20-80ml. If the menstrual volume of a woman is within the normal range and the ovulation function and secretion of female hormones of her uterus and ovaries are within the normal range, then the woman can become pregnant.

2. If a woman's menstrual flow is too little, it may be due to systemic active diseases such as tuberculosis, malnutrition, anemia, etc., or mental factors such as anxiety, depression, fear, fatigue, environmental changes, etc. This condition can be corrected through psychological counseling or drug and diet therapy. As long as the condition improves, the woman can become pregnant.

3. If scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea is caused by low endocrine function, tumors, uterine dysplasia and other diseases, the probability of infertility will greatly increase. Women need to find out the cause of endocrine imbalance and actively seek treatment.

4. Low estrogen levels in the body can cause the endometrium to not be thick enough, resulting in less bleeding during menstruation and affecting pregnancy. However, if it is a girl who has just had her first menstruation, the secretion of estrogen in her body has not yet reached a balanced and stable state, so the menstrual volume is generally small, which is normal and will not affect pregnancy.

5. Malnutrition may cause scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea, which may affect pregnancy. This situation not only causes incomplete development of the uterus and other urinary systems, posing a hidden danger to future infertility, but also leads to a decrease in the body's immune function, contributing to the progression of the disease.
