Consequences of an uneven endometrium

Consequences of an uneven endometrium

Uterine wall asymmetry may be more important, but further hysteroscopy and pathophysiological examination are needed to clarify. The uneven uterine wall may be mainly caused by multiple miscarriages. If abnormal ovulation occurs due to polycystic ovary syndrome, it may also cause abnormalities in the uterine wall. In addition, it may also be caused by uterine wall diseases and obesity.

Abdominal B-ultrasound examination is the most common examination method in gynecological clinical medicine, which can mainly examine functions such as the uterine wall and cervix. Some women may find that their uterine wall is uneven after examination, and they will inevitably worry that there may be big problems. So, is the unevenness of the uterine wall the key?

1. Is the uneven uterine wall the key?

Uterine wall asymmetry is a diagnosis made by imaging tests such as color Doppler ultrasound, indicating the possibility of some uterine wall diseases, so it is generally more important. However, this cannot be used for diagnosis. It is recommended that when symptoms of uneven endometrial thickness are detected, further hysteroscopy and pathophysiological examinations should be performed to determine the specific causing factors.

2. Causes of uneven uterine wall

1. Multiple miscarriages

Uterine wall asymmetry is mainly associated with repeated miscarriage. Whether it is a spontaneous abortion or an induced abortion, it will cause certain damage to the uterine wall, among which induced abortion with curettage and dilation is more common. If medical care is not done well after miscarriage, symptoms of uterine wall asymmetry may occur.

2. Abnormal ovulation period

Once the ovulation function is abnormal, such as suffering from ovarian diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome and ovarian cysts, the body may lack estrogen antagonists. At this time, the uterine wall will be stimulated by estrogen for a long time, causing intestinal metaplasia, resulting in uneven uterine wall.

3. Uterine wall disease

If you suffer from uterine diseases such as uterine polyps or cervical cancer, it may cause abnormalities in the uterine wall. The patient may not only have uneven uterine wall reactions, but may also have a variety of adverse symptoms such as non-menstrual bleeding and lower abdominal pain.

4. Obesity

Uneven uterine wall may be related to obesity. In obese women, androstenedione metabolized by the kidneys is converted into estrone, resulting in a persistent estrogen effect, which often affects the condition of the uterine wall and causes abnormal endometrial thickness.
