How to measure bra cup size

How to measure bra cup size

In daily life, women are very concerned about the size of their breasts. Some people will eat a lot of breast-enhancing foods to enlarge their breasts. Some people even take medical means to go to plastic surgery hospitals for breast augmentation surgery. Of course, everyone has the right to pursue beauty, so this is now a normal life situation. So how to judge a person's breast size? This requires a formal method of measuring bust circumference. Today, I will share with you how to understand it.

The word cup was coined by the French. Because the bra was invented by the French in the 1920s, its predecessor was corset. Bra is abbreviated as bra, which comes from French. When the French invented the bra, they also established the unit of chest or breast size derived from it. The word "cup" is translated quite vividly by Chinese people, because apart from the straps, a bra only has two cups that cover the chest. Therefore, the size of the breasts is measured by the size of the cup, which is simple and easy to understand.

How to operate

Measuring posture: Take off your clothes first, stand easily (but straight), put your feet together, face forward, and slightly raise your chin.

Measure the upper chest circumference, wrap the tape measure horizontally around the chest circumference (protruding point), and gradually tighten it from loose to tight. When measuring, lift your breasts gently with your hands, as if you were wearing a bra. At this time, you can easily measure your actual chest circumference (around the fullest part of the chest at nipple level).

Measure the underbust circumference: Use a soft tape measure to measure horizontally around the bottom of the chest, which is the underbust circumference. Note: Those with sagging breasts should push their breasts up to the normal position for measurement.

Here is a bra cup size chart for you.

Simply put, the key to dividing bra cups is the difference between the upper and lower bust.

AA cup: within 7.5cm

A cup: within 10.0cm

B cup: within 12.5cm

C cup: within 15.0cm

D cup: within 17.5cm

For example: your underbust measurement is 71, which is a size 70, and your upper bust measurement is 83. Subtract the two numbers and you get 12cm, which is a B cup. Putting the two together, the bra you should wear is a 70B, which is a European size 32B. You can find out according to the cup size chart.

If the buckle on the back of a new bra fits properly, then it is a well-fitting piece of bra. Never buy a bra that requires you to buckle it to the innermost part from the beginning, because as time goes by, the elasticity of the bra will decrease, and you may need to buckle it further inside, which will then make it no longer fit.
