How to deal with breast milk after induced abortion?

As we all know, after a woman gives birth, her breasts will secrete milk. Of course, some women need to have lactation before they can produce milk. However, for some pregnant women who do not want children, induced abortion is definitely necessary. After induced labor, milk will still flow out, which is a bit annoying. So the question is, how to deal with breast milk after induced labor?

After induced labor, estrogen and progesterone levels decrease, the inhibition of prolactin is removed, prolactin increases, and milk secretion is promoted.

Weaning method

There are two main types of weaning: natural weaning and artificial weaning. Generally speaking, for those who have been weaned normally after 1 to 2 years of breastfeeding, natural weaning methods can often be used; while for those who have been weaned before 10 months of breastfeeding due to various diseases or special reasons, artificial weaning methods are often used. In addition, during normal weaning, if there is too much milk and natural weaning is not effective, artificial weaning methods can also be used.

1. Natural weaning

Gradually reduce the number of feedings, reduce the number and amount of breast milk your baby sucks or stop letting your baby suck, shorten the time of each feeding. At the same time, you should pay attention to eating less soup and milk-producing foods, and eat less protein-rich foods. The secretion of milk gradually decreases until it disappears completely.

2. Artificial weaning

Artificial weaning can be divided into food weaning method and drug weaning method.

(1) Food method for weaning: Ingredients and preparation: maltose, 60 grams of roasted malt, add brown sugar, put into a pot, add water and boil, remove the residue and drink, take once a day for 1 to 2 weeks.

(2) Medical weaning method can be used for breastfeeding mothers who have abundant milk or want to wean quickly. Oral or external use of Chinese herbal medicine to reduce lactation can also have a good effect. Since some babies are still very attached to their mother's milk, it is best to start reducing milk supply from the daytime feeding. Because there are many things that attract the baby during the day, he will not pay special attention to his mother. However, in the morning and evening, the baby will be very attached to his mother and need to get comfort from breastfeeding. Therefore, it is not easy to wean the baby. After weaning the baby during the day, slowly stop night feeding until the transition to complete weaning.
