What to do if the cesarean section does not pass gas

Everyone knows that the best way for pregnant women to give birth is natural birth, but sometimes there is no other choice but to choose a caesarean section. After a caesarean section, doctors will advise mothers to expel gas as soon as possible. The purpose of expelling gas is to eliminate useless waste gas in the body, promote intestinal peristalsis, and restore gastrointestinal function. However, some women do not pass gas for many days after a caesarean section, which makes many women very anxious. What should they do if they do not pass gas?

Of course there are. Here are some simple and easy ways to do it:

1. Exercise method

Depending on your physical condition, you can choose to get out of bed, stand or walk with your family by your side 24 hours after leaving the operating room, as this will help restore intestinal motility.

However, mothers who have low blood pressure after childbirth should pay attention to getting up slowly and having someone to support them. The process of getting out of bed and standing up should be broken down to avoid falls.

If you really cannot get out of bed to exercise, you can exercise in bed, such as turning over.

2. Massage

You can use your own massage, or you can ask a nurse or a professional postpartum masseur to perform a massage that touches your abdomen.

It is usually necessary to do it several times a day, 20 minutes each time. This is the best way to promote intestinal peristalsis and prevent adhesion of internal organs. It is also conducive to the discharge of residual blood from the body.

3. Drug therapy

If you have tried various methods and still cannot achieve the exhaust effect, you can choose to take relevant medications or acupuncture treatment.

4. Enema therapy

This is probably the most undesirable method of inducing ovulation. It not only harms the bodies of new mothers, but also makes people suffer terribly throughout the process. In principle, it is not recommended. This treatment is only given to patients who have tried various methods but are still unable to pass gas.

It turns out that caesarean section is a very painful method of delivery. It would have been better to choose natural birth in the first place!

In fact, no matter how you give birth, it is not easy for a female friend, and there may even be danger to her life. But when you think about meeting a new life, the pain and your own safety can be ignored.
