How to promote pregnancy

How to promote pregnancy

How to promote pregnancy is a question many people ask, especially older couples who are eager to have children. Pregnancy is a matter for two people. First of all, both parties should be in a good mood, which will greatly increase the chance of pregnancy. Both men and women should pay attention to rest during this period and avoid overwork. At the same time, they should not smoke, drink alcohol, or eat spicy food. Let’s take a closer look at how to promote pregnancy.

1. Calculate ovulation period

The biggest secret to getting pregnant fast is knowing when you ovulate. Think of the egg as a bullseye and the sperm as a bunch of arrows. To get pregnant, one arrow has to hit the bull's eye.

Since most women only release one egg per menstrual cycle, you only have a few days each cycle when you can get pregnant. Knowing when you ovulate means you and your partner can identify the bullseye and aim for it, rather than firing arrows randomly and hoping for luck.

2. Prepare your body

If your body is primed for pregnancy, your chances of conceiving are higher. So it's best to get a prenatal check-up to see if you're suitable for pregnancy and what improvements you may need to make. If in case you have any health problems, early detection and treatment will be very helpful for your future pregnancy. 3. Lie on your back after sex

For a long time, no one could really say whether lying on your back after sex, to prevent sperm from leaking out, would help improve the chances of sperm reaching and fertilizing an egg.

4. Prepare the best quality reproductive cells

Healthy, strong, and abundant sperm have the best chance of fertilizing an egg. The following methods can help your husband's sperm to fully exert its fighting power.

5. Stop drinking

Studies show that daily drinking in men can reduce testosterone levels and sperm count, while increasing the number of abnormal sperm. Quit smoking and taking drugs as they can lead to poor sperm function.

It is important to get enough of certain key nutrients, such as zinc, folate, calcium, vitamins C and D, as these all help to produce abundant, strong, and fully motile sperm.

6. Avoid hot springs, saunas and hot baths

Because high temperatures can kill sperm. The testicles function best in an environment of 34.5℃ ~ 36℃ (one or two degrees lower than normal body temperature).

7. Choose the best time to live

Once you know when you ovulate, you can plan your life around your most fertile period, which is the period from 3 days before to the day of ovulation. Of course, there is no harm in starting life earlier. Some women become pregnant because of sex 6 days before ovulation.
