The reasons for maternal constipation are, on the one hand, long-term bed rest after delivery, little activity, and slower intestinal motility. At the same time, the abdominal wall expands during pregnancy, and the abdominal wall relaxes and becomes weak after delivery, and the abdominal pressure decreases. This can make the intestinal contents easily stagnate in the intestinal cavity and difficult to expel.

On the other hand, the more important thing is that the postpartum diet is not proper, eating too much refined food, not eating or eating very little vegetables, fruits and other fiber-rich foods, and some people also drink less water. This will inevitably lead to constipation and induce anal fissure.

1. Sweet potatoes

Eating more sweet potatoes can cure constipation and make bowel movements smooth and easy. This is an experience many people have. "Bencao Qiuyuan" also has a record that sweet potatoes: "cool blood and promote blood circulation, relax the intestines and stomach, relieve constipation, and remove old blood stasis and toxins." They are especially suitable for people with chronic constipation. You can also use 250 grams of fresh sweet potato leaves, add oil and salt to stir-fry and eat it all at once, once on an empty stomach in the morning and evening. It is suitable for people with dry stools.

2. Sesame

It can moisten the intestines and promote bowel movements, and is suitable for people with dry intestines and constipation. Use the recipe of Sangma Pills from the ancient "Medical Mirror", grind equal parts of black sesame seeds (fried) and winter mulberry leaves into powder, mix with honey to make pills, take 12 to 15 grams daily, and you will be cured in one month.

3. Ejiao

It can nourish yin, replenish blood and moisten the intestines, and is suitable for people with weak body and constipation.
