How to use test strips to test whether you are pregnant

When people are preparing for pregnancy, they will be very nervous. If their menstruation is delayed for a few days, they will wonder if they are pregnant. They will also have test strips for early pregnancy at home, which is the most convenient testing method. Of course, you still need to go to the hospital for confirmation after testing at home. So do you know how to use the test paper? Be sure to read the instructions carefully before using the test paper to improve the accuracy.

In the past, if women wanted to check whether they were pregnant, they could only determine through menstruation, but sometimes irregular menstruation could lead to misjudgment. Now, the early pregnancy test is really helpful for women. They can tell whether they are pregnant at any time through the early pregnancy test. How accurate are early pregnancy tests?

The accuracy of early pregnancy test strips

If you do a pregnancy self-test at home without any outside guidance, the test results will generally only be 50% to 90% accurate. If the pregnancy test is done under the guidance of a doctor and the woman can use the test strip correctly according to the instructions, the test accuracy may be close to 100%.

How to use early pregnancy test paper

1. Please read the instruction manual in full before testing, and restore the reagents and urine samples to room temperature (20℃-30℃) before use.

2. Take out the test strip from the original aluminum foil bag and use it as soon as possible within 1 hour.

3. Insert the test strip into the urine sample in the direction of the arrow. Note: The urine level must not exceed the mark on the test strip.

4. After at least 5 seconds, take it out and place it flat on a clean and flat surface to observe the results.

5. Wait for the purple-red strip to appear. The test result should be read in 3 minutes. It was deemed invalid after 10 minutes.

Determination of early pregnancy test results

1. Positive (+): Two purple-red bands appear. One is located in the test area (T) and the other is located in the quality control area (C). Indicates pregnancy.

2. Negative (-): Only a purple-red band appears in the quality control area (C), and no purple-red band appears in the test area (T). Indicates not pregnant.

3. Invalid: No purple-red band appears in the quality control area (C), indicating incorrect operation process or the reagent strip has deteriorated and damaged.

I believe everyone is clear about how accurate the early pregnancy test paper is through the introduction of the above content. If women want to know whether they are pregnant unexpectedly or planned, they can use early pregnancy test strips to test, and its accuracy rate is quite high.
