What causes breast pain and missed menstruation?

Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon for women. It not only indicates whether the female body is healthy, but also is an important sign to detect whether the female is pregnant. Most women will have some symptoms before menstruation. Some women have increased vaginal discharge, some women have breast pain, etc. Women with breast pain but no menstruation are either a sign before menstruation or a symptom of pregnancy. It is best to go to the hospital for a check-up.

What are the signs of pregnancy?

1. Cessation of menstruation: This is the most obvious sign of pregnancy. As long as a woman is of childbearing age and has normal menstruation, she may be pregnant if her period stops for more than two weeks after sexual intercourse.

2. Easy to get tired: In the early stages of pregnancy, many women feel tired, have no energy, and want to sleep. But this period will not last too long and will pass quickly.

So if you start to feel drowsy after having sex and your period is delayed, these may be signs of pregnancy.

3. Changes in appetite: Some women begin to experience a change in appetite shortly after their menstrual period (1-2 weeks). Some people simply don’t want to eat or even feel like vomiting, and some people crave something sour.

4. Nausea and vomiting: This is the most common discomfort in the first two months of pregnancy. About 50% of pregnant women experience varying degrees of nausea, and 1/3 of pregnant women experience vomiting, with morning sickness being the most obvious.

5. Breast changes: In the early stages of pregnancy, under the combined stimulation of estrogen and progesterone, the breasts gradually grow larger, the color of the nipples and areolas deepens, and dark brown nodules appear around the nipples. After 12 weeks of pregnancy, a small amount of clear milk will be secreted.

6. Changes in skin color: Skin pigmentation may occur in the early stages of pregnancy, especially in the later stages of pregnancy, and stretch marks may appear on the abdominal wall in the later stages.

7. Frequent and urgent urination: In early pregnancy, it is caused by the enlarged uterus pressing on the bladder. When the uterus protrudes from the abdominal cavity at 12 weeks of pregnancy, the symptoms disappear naturally. In the late pregnancy, as the fetal presenting part enters the pelvis, the bladder is squeezed again and frequent urination occurs again. Some expectant mothers experience urine leakage when they cough, blow their nose or sneeze.

8. Vaginal mucosal discoloration: In the early stages of pregnancy, the vaginal mucosa may appear darker in color due to congestion. This can be determined by a doctor.
