If the follow-up visit for medical abortion is normal, and the normal menstrual cycle and menstrual volume are normal, it should not affect pregnancy. It is best to have a medical abortion six months or one year before pregnancy. The damage caused by medical abortion has a recovery process. During this period, the body functions and reproductive organs have basically recovered through adequate rest and conditioning, and are basically suitable for the next pregnancy, and can continue to prepare for pregnancy. Therefore, medical abortion generally does not affect pregnancy.

If you have a medical abortion, the process is successful, that is, the following three situations:

1. The gestational sac has been completely cleared on the first day of bleeding during medical abortion. 1-2 days after the gestational sac is expelled, vaginal bleeding stops, or there is only a small amount of blood. If it stops within 7 days after the gestational sac is expelled, it is considered a success.

2. Taking medicines to prevent infection during the medical abortion period.

3. Menstruation will resume about one month after the medical abortion.

If the above three conditions are met, then the impact on future pregnancy will not be significant.

From the beginning of taking medicine for medical abortion, until the abortion bleeding stops (within 7 days), and waiting for the new menarche to stop, you need to rest well and not have sexual intercourse during this whole period. Before it is confirmed that the bleeding from medical abortion has stopped, do not eat supplements, drink alcohol, or drink concentrated ginger and sugar water.

Does medical abortion hurt?

It usually takes three to four days to stop an unwanted pregnancy with medical abortion. Under normal circumstances, it takes four days to take the medicine on an empty stomach, one tablet each in the morning, noon and evening for the first three days, and three tablets at a time on the fourth day.

Generally, you won't feel anything during the first three days of taking the medicine, but some people will feel pain in their lower abdomen on the second day, but it won't be too painful, similar to the pain during menstruation.

The pain is more severe after taking the medicine on the 4th day, and many women will feel lower abdominal pain. However, this is just the palace closing in. 2-4 hours after taking the medicine, you will begin to experience obvious abdominal pain. The pain is contraction pain, severe pain, and a feeling of falling in the abdomen. The gestational sac will be discharged after a few hours.

After that, you should check with your attending physician to check whether the gestational sac is completely expelled. If the abdominal pain is relieved after the gestational sac is completely expelled. After the tissue is discharged, you need to go to the hospital for observation for 1 hour. If the vaginal bleeding is minimal, you can go home and rest.

If no tissue is seen excreted, observe for 2 weeks after taking the medicine, and pay attention to whether any tissue is excreted during defecation and urination. Do a weekly urine test for pregnancy.

After a medical abortion, you usually need to rest for about 2 weeks, eat nutritious food, and avoid heavy physical work. In addition, you should pay attention to vaginal bleeding after the abortion. Once vaginal bleeding exceeds the normal menstrual volume or is accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, you must go to the hospital in time to avoid other effects on the body.
