How to prepare for pregnancy again after fetal arrest

How to prepare for pregnancy again after fetal arrest

When pregnant mothers encounter fetal arrest, they need to have an abortion. Everyone knows that abortion is actually very harmful to women's bodies. Therefore, pregnant mothers who want to prepare for pregnancy again after fetal arrest must wait until their bodies return to their ideal condition. So, how long after the fetus stops growing should you start preparing for pregnancy? Experts tell us that it is best for pregnant mothers to take care of themselves for half a year before preparing for pregnancy.

How to prepare for pregnancy after fetal arrest

1. Find out the cause of fetal growth retardation, especially for those with multiple fetal growth retardation.

(1) The six endocrine tests for women should be done by fasting blood draw on the 2nd to 5th day of the menstrual period to check for ovulation-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, prolactin, estradiol, and testosterone, and then by blood draw on the 7th day after ovulation (or 7 days before the next menstrual period) to check for progesterone. It is generally believed that serum progesterone <10ng/ml in the mid-luteal phase is considered to be luteal insufficiency.

(2) TORCH test can be performed 3 months before planning pregnancy.

(3) Both husband and wife should also have their secretions cultured for mycoplasma and chlamydia. The woman should have her cervical mucus checked, and the man can have his blood drawn for testing.

(4) Blood tests are performed to check the male and female blood type, red blood cell antibodies, platelet antibodies, anti-sperm antibodies, anti-endometrial antibodies, anti-cardiolipin antibodies, anti-toxoplasma antibodies, anti-HCG antibodies, anti-zona pellucida antibodies, and blocking antibody tests.

(5) Gynecological examination and routine leucorrhea examination should be performed to determine whether there is inflammation.

(6) Perform blood routine tests, urine routine tests, liver and kidney function tests, etc. to assess nutritional status.

(7) B-ultrasound and/or hysterosalpingography should be performed to check for abnormalities such as uterine malformations and adhesions in the uterine cavity.

2. Monitor luteal function by measuring BBT

Usually, a woman's body temperature will rise about 14 days before the next menstruation, with an amplitude of at least 0.3°C. If the body temperature rises slowly, for more than 2 days or the BBT rises for less than 12 days, it is luteal insufficiency.

3. Male's semen analysis

Abnormalities in male sperm quality or quantity can also lead to fetal growth retardation. Sexual intercourse should be abstained from for 3 to 5 days before the examination.

Precautions for preventing fetal growth retardation (early pregnancy (before 12 weeks)

1. Signs before fetal arrest: a small amount of bleeding (mostly brown), abdominal pain, basal body temperature continues to drop within a few days (generally around 37 degrees in the first three months of pregnancy), and early pregnancy reactions such as vomiting and frequent urination suddenly disappear or weaken. Pay attention if you experience the above symptoms! B-ultrasound is the best way to diagnose fetal arrest.

2. Please note the following 3 months before pregnancy after fetal arrest:

(1) Do not eat out, eat home-cooked meals;

(2) Drink boiled water, do not drink beverages or cold food;

(3) You are not allowed to take a hot spring bath.

3. If fetal growth retardation occurs once, a comprehensive examination should be conducted, with antibody testing placed last, with emphasis placed on corpus luteum function, TORCH, and kidney and spleen function, and changing unhealthy lifestyles. The focus of the examination should be on sperm and eggs. Usually, empty cysts are caused by poor sperm quality and strong radiation exposure of the fertilized eggs.

4. If the fetus is at rest, you can go for a check-up after your first menstrual period. If two miscarriages occur in the same week, you should go to a regular hospital for immunotherapy.

5. After a miscarriage, it is recommended to see a Chinese medicine doctor, because the previous abortion surgery may cause the Tingmin meridians to be blocked, resulting in blood not being able to nourish the fetus. If such a problem occurs, you need to start taking Chinese medicine to protect the fetus from the 28th day of pregnancy.
