Hyalinization of uterine fibroids

We say that even today, human development has still been unable to comprehensively prevent and cure many diseases. This includes uterine fibroids. When we cannot deny whether we will be the next patient with uterine fibroids. We should learn to find ways to prevent this disease and learn more about uterine fibroids. So what is hyaline degeneration of uterine fibroids? Let’s learn about the issues related to uterine fibroids.

Uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumors in the female reproductive organs and one of the most common tumors in the human body. They are also called fibroids and uterine fibroids. Since uterine fibroids are mainly formed by the proliferation of uterine smooth muscle cells, with a small amount of fibrous connective tissue existing as a supporting tissue, it is more accurate to call them uterine leiomyomas, or uterine fibroids for short.

Precisely because it is the most common, we should master it better. Today, teachers from Huatu Medical Times will lead everyone to unravel the mystery of uterine fibroids.

Today I will bring you an important piece of knowledge - sex change. Myoma degeneration is the loss of the original typical structure of the myoma.

Common changes include:

1. Hyaline degeneration or hyaline degeneration: the most common, mainly due to insufficient blood supply to the tumor, edema, liquefaction, and replacement by glassy substances.

2. Cystic change: It usually occurs after hyaline change, liquefaction and formation of cystic cavity, which is as soft as a cyst.

3. Red degeneration: more common during pregnancy or postpartum period, it is a special type of necrosis of myoma. Patients may have severe abdominal pain accompanied by nausea, vomiting, fever, and elevated white blood cell counts. Examination may reveal that the fibroids are rapidly enlarging and tender. The cross-section of the tumor is dark red, like half-cooked beef, has a fishy smell, is soft in texture, and the vortex structure disappears.

4. Sarcomatoid transformation: The rate of malignant transformation of myoma into sarcoma is only 0.4% to 0.8%, which is more common in older women. If the fibroids grow rapidly in a short period of time or are accompanied by irregular vaginal bleeding, the possibility of malignant transformation should be considered.

5. Fatty degeneration: It often occurs after necrosis or hyaline degeneration and is often a precursor to calcification. This type of degeneration is rare and has no special clinical manifestations. Degeneration of uterine fibroids often appears in examinations, and the question formats are quite diverse, ranging from multiple-choice questions to case analysis questions.

Therefore, everyone should read this part carefully during the review process. In fact, this part is our pathological degeneration and necrosis, including four degenerations and one necrosis.
