Causes of darker nipples

Causes of darker nipples

When women reach a certain age, their nipples will change in color, but many young women will also have their nipples become darker and darker. This makes many young women confused and distressed. Let me explain the reasons why women’s nipples become darker!

1. Physiological changes: During pregnancy, women's bodies will undergo a series of changes, which are closely related to the metabolism of human growth hormone. Starting from the early stages of pregnancy, the color of the nipples and nipples may become lighter, gradually changing from dark red to dark red. This change is mainly caused by the increase of estrogen and oestrogen in the body after pregnancy, which is a normal physiological change.

The change in nipple color does not only occur during pregnancy. Under normal human conditions, the color of the nipples and areolae also gradually darkens from pink to dark red. A breast examination may not reveal any abnormalities, but this change in color reminds the woman that there is a "transient" increase in estrogen in the body. Perhaps after a period of time, due to self-regulation, the estrogen level returns to normal, and the color of the nipples and areolas also returns to normal. This is still a normal physiological change.

2. Physiological changes: 1. When a woman's nipples have a series of changes, the area around the nipples begins to itch, then she needs to go to the hospital for immediate medical treatment. During a routine breast examination, hyperplastic space-occupying lesions or cystic hyperplasia may be found in both or one breast. The darkening of the color of the nipples and areolas indicates that the body's estrogen levels have increased, which is consistent with the regularity of the disease for the breasts to become diseased as target organs.

2. If a woman finds that her nipples or nipples have turned dark red, and there are raised spots around the nipples, she should consider whether the patient has a serious liver disease? This is because liver disease causes decreased liver function, and estrogen cannot be normally broken down in the liver, causing the nipples and areolas to darken in color. This is exactly the same as the "spider nevi" and "cinnabar palms" that appear in men with severe liver disease.

3. If a woman's uterus and ovaries are unhealthy, it will also be reflected in the nipples, increasing the amount of estrogen secreted by the uterus and ovaries, which can cause the color of the nipples and areola to darken. In addition, many small nodules may appear around the areola glands. Such patients should see a gynecologist as soon as possible, find out the cause of the disease, and receive immediate treatment.
