Fetal excretion pathway

Fetal excretion pathway

During pregnancy, pregnant mothers will definitely be curious about the growth and development of the fetus. It is indeed a wonderful thing for a baby to grow from a sperm and egg in the uterus into a complete fetus. Many pregnant mothers are very curious about whether the fetus will stay in the mother's belly all the time. Does it mean that the fetus is not easy to metabolize? Where does the feces of the fetus come from?

Fetuses are very smart and have many ways to excrete their feces.

The first is the fetal umbilical cord. The fetal umbilical cord not only transports nutrients and oxygen to the fetus, it is also an important channel to help the baby excrete substances. However, the baby's use of the fetal umbilical cord excretion always occurs before the baby is two months old. The baby's reproductive organs will gradually take shape, and they can be excreted in urine through the reproductive organs.

At this time, the urine discharged by the baby through the vagina will be discharged into the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman. Therefore, the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman will not be as clear as before in the late pregnancy, but slightly turbid, because the amniotic fluid contains not only the baby's urine but also various substances and the baby's hair.

Of course, the amniotic fluid is also constantly changing. The method of replacement is mainly that the baby swallows the amniotic fluid that has been contaminated, and then the new amniotic fluid will be produced from the fetal umbilical cord and will eventually be metabolized.

The fetus does not defecate when it is in the mother's womb. It will store its feces in the stomach and intestines. After birth, the baby will gradually excrete meconium.
