What are the special things to pay attention to when a woman gives birth during the full month?

After giving birth, a mother will go through about a month of recuperation. This period is called the confinement month. Women are prohibited from many activities during this period, and there will be many requirements for their diet. These are all for women's bodies to recover as quickly as possible. What are the requirements for the full month of confinement for mothers? Let’s take a look at the explanation below, I hope everyone can understand it.

1. Be careful with cold and heat

As the temperature and humidity of the climate and living environment change, the clothing worn by the mother and the electrical equipment used indoors should be appropriately adjusted. The indoor temperature should be about 25 to 26 degrees Celsius, and the humidity should be about 50% to 60%. Long sleeves, long pants, and socks should be worn to avoid catching a cold or having the joints invaded by wind, cold, and moisture.

2. Proper work and rest

Moderate labor and rest are very helpful for the discharge of lochia and the recovery of muscles, bones and body shape. In the early days after delivery, when the mother feels weak, dizzy, and fatigued, she must rest in bed more. The time she gets up should not exceed half an hour. When her physical strength gradually recovers, the time can be extended a little, but the time is still limited to 1 to 2 hours to avoid standing or sitting for a long time, which will cause low back pain, leg pain, knee and ankle pain.

3. Clean frequently

After the full moon, the hair and body should be washed regularly to keep them clean and avoid bacterial infection and inflammation.

4. Adjust your diet

The first three items are the same for everyone, but diet varies according to individual physical conditions, so it should be different. Furthermore, if there are problems with postpartum lochia discharge and breastfeeding, or if there are colds, headaches, mouth sores, itchy skin, stomachaches and other diseases, diet and medication must be changed. In ancient times, due to the simple environment, poor living conditions and the lack of electrical appliances, the regulations were stricter, and there was a restriction of not washing hair or taking a bath for one month. Modern people do not have to work so hard, but the diet during confinement is still mainly warm and nourishing. It is best to ask a doctor to prepare the diet according to your personal constitution.
