How to determine whether it is an ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is a disease with a very high incidence rate, especially among young female friends. Therefore, it is best to take safety measures when having sex. This is the most effective way to avoid ectopic pregnancy. If you feel that you have some symptoms of ectopic pregnancy, do not take it lightly. You must take corresponding examination measures. Only through a series of physical examinations can you determine whether you have an ectopic pregnancy.

Judgment method:

First, you can do an HCG test for early pregnancy. If it is positive and an abdominal B-ultrasound examination does not find a gestational sac in the uterine cavity, then you should generally consider the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. But first of all, you should pay attention to whether the gestational sac is too small to be discovered. If no gestational sac or other abnormalities are found, you should check again after 7 days.

Second, a more accurate method of determining ectopic pregnancy is to combine blood drawing and B-ultrasound, which is generally difficult to determine with just blood drawing and B-ultrasound. Generally speaking, if it is an intrauterine pregnancy, the blood HCG level will rise relatively quickly, usually at least doubling every two days. If it is an ectopic pregnancy, the blood HCG level will increase relatively slowly. Of course, the blood test must be combined with B-ultrasound examination. If the B-ultrasound clearly shows a gestational sac outside the uterus, then it is definitely an ectopic pregnancy.

Third, observe for bleeding symptoms. Patients with ectopic pregnancy generally experience irregular vaginal bleeding about 6-8 weeks after menopause. However, the duration of bleeding is related to the location of the fertilized egg implantation. If it occurs in the abdomen of the fallopian tube, the time of ectopic pregnancy bleeding will be relatively delayed. If it is an ectopic pregnancy in the isthmus of the fallopian tube, the time of appearance will be earlier.

The above are three methods for judging ectopic pregnancy. If a pregnant woman feels that she may have an ectopic pregnancy, it is best to go to the hospital for examination and confirmation immediately. Because if the ectopic pregnancy is allowed to develop, the pregnant woman may experience heavy bleeding. Not only will the fetus not be saved, but the pregnant mother's life may also be in danger.

Ectopic pregnancy is an ectopic pregnancy. Common symptoms are vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain after menstruation. If the β-hCG level in the blood rises slowly, and the doubling time is often less than 66% within 48 hours, and the progesterone P is less than 25ng/ml (or less than 78.0nmol/L), there is a high possibility of ectopic pregnancy. Early intrauterine pregnancy: Vaginal ultrasound can detect the gestational sac GS as early as 4-5 weeks of pregnancy (the yolk sac is a sign of intrauterine pregnancy, a bright echo ring structure located inside the gestational sac, with an echo-free area in the middle), the embryo can be observed at 5 weeks of pregnancy, and the primitive heart tube pulsation can be seen at 6 weeks of pregnancy. It is recommended to have a blood test to check the β-hCG and progesterone levels combined with the results of B-ultrasound examination. If a gestational sac is not seen in the uterus but a mass is seen outside the uterus, it should be considered an ectopic pregnancy.
