Does ovulation induction have a high pregnancy rate?

Does ovulation induction have a high pregnancy rate?

For a woman to become pregnant, a mature egg must combine with sperm. However, many women do not ovulate regularly or even do not ovulate at all. Therefore, more and more women are taking ovulation-inducing drugs, and they believe that getting pregnant is a very difficult thing. In this way, more eggs can be released, making it easier for them to combine with sperm. But is this approach scientifically useful? Is the chance of pregnancy high?

Is it possible to get pregnant by taking ovulation-stimulating drugs?

The chances of a woman getting pregnant by taking ovulation-stimulating drugs are not high. This is because ovulation-stimulating drugs are a method of forcing the egg cells out of the ovaries. Generally, the quality of the egg cells is poor and they are prone to die. Even if they combine with sperm to form a fertilized egg, the poor quality of the fertilized egg will lead to miscarriage and death, causing female infertility. Therefore, the chances of a woman getting pregnant by taking ovulation drugs to ovulate are very low.

Use ovulation drugs with caution

Ovulation-inducing drugs, represented by clomiphene, are hormonal drugs and are generally used to treat infertility in female patients caused by anovulation. However, the side effects of using ovulation-inducing drugs are very obvious. The ovaries continue to ovulate under the stimulation of the drugs, which can easily cause women to have irregular menstruation, premature ovarian failure, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, and a small number of people will develop ovarian tumors.

In clinical practice, doctors do not encourage patients to use ovulation-inducing drugs at will. Even if a mother conceives twins or multiple births through drugs, the mother will bear huge risks during pregnancy, which can easily lead to various obstetric complications. The fetus is also prone to malnutrition, low weight, poor survival and other problems.

Since pregnancy and childbirth under pharmacological effects violate normal physiological reactions, doctors only use it with caution when treating female patients with infertility caused by anovulation. Women of childbearing age should take such drugs with caution under the strict diagnosis and guidance of a doctor.

Ovulation-stimulating drugs are a very dangerous type of medicine. They have indeed made contributions to the treatment of female infertility, but please do not think that they are a panacea.

What are the symptoms of non-ovulation?

1. Development

Tall stature and underdeveloped secondary sexual characteristics may be signs of sexual dysfunction caused by the central nervous system. Increased body hair may be caused by excessive secretion of androgen by the ovaries or adrenal glands. Milk discharge from the nipple may be caused by too much prolactin in the blood.

2. Menstrual status

Menstrual disorders and amenorrhea are symptoms of anovulation.

3. Backache and lower abdominal pain

During ovulation, there will be mild symptoms such as back pain and lower abdominal pain, but these feelings do not necessarily mean that ovulation has occurred. Some gynecological diseases can also cause symptoms of back pain and abdominal pain.

4. Slight vaginal bleeding

A small number of people have a small amount of vaginal bleeding between menstruation, which is less than the menstrual flow. This is called "ovulation bleeding" and needs to be treated promptly.

5. Breast pain

During ovulation, estrogen and progesterone levels increase, which can easily cause breast tenderness.

6. Increased leucorrhea

This is the most obvious sign of ovulation. For most people, the amount of leucorrhea will increase significantly during ovulation. It will become as transparent as egg white and can be stretched into threads. There will be no uncomfortable symptoms such as vulvar itching and odor.
