Three major reasons for delayed menstruation and leucorrhea

Many women often suffer from physical illnesses due to lack of physical exercise for a long time, and their menstruation will gradually be delayed. Delayed menstruation will cause great pressure on the body and may even produce some adverse reactions. In fact, delayed menstruation and abnormal vaginal discharge should be considered to be caused by endocrine disorders, gynecological diseases or pregnancy. It can be adjusted through diet therapy and the cause can be found out.

What are the reasons for delayed menstruation?

1. Pregnancy

If your period is delayed and never comes, you need to consider whether it is related to pregnancy. If you have sex during this menstrual cycle and do not take any contraceptive measures, the chances of pregnancy are still relatively high. It is recommended to take an early pregnancy test or go to the hospital to check HCG to confirm whether you are pregnant.

2. Endocrine disorders

Delayed menstruation is related to endocrine disorders. If there is an endocrine disorder, the sex hormones in the body will be disordered, which will lead to irregular menstruation. For example, delayed menstruation falls into the category of irregular menstruation. If it is confirmed that menstrual abnormalities are caused by endocrine disorders, you need to go to the hospital in time to regulate your endocrine system.

3. Gynecological diseases

Delayed menstruation is also related to certain gynecological diseases, so female friends who experience delayed menstruation must not take it lightly. Common gynecological diseases that can cause delayed menstruation include uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome, ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, cervicitis, etc. These diseases can cause irregular menstruation. Therefore, for female friends who often experience delayed menstruation, it is necessary to do relevant gynecological examinations and find out the primary disease so as to regulate menstruation.

Delayed menstruation may be a sign of menstrual irregularity

1. Heavy menstrual flow : Heavy menstrual flow is also called menorrhagia. Here, heavy menstrual flow means that the menstrual cycle and period are normal, but the amount of menstrual blood is more than that of ordinary people. This is one of the common manifestations of irregular menstruation.

2. Small menstrual volume : This is also one of the manifestations of irregular menstruation. Oligomenorrhea refers to a normal menstrual cycle with a significantly reduced menstrual volume for more than two consecutive times compared to a normal person. It is also called oligomenorrhea, which is usually seen in irregular menstruation caused by uterine adhesions after abortion, excessive blood loss, or certain drug interference, systemic diseases, etc.

3. Delayed menstruation : Delayed menstruation refers to a type of oligomenorrhea in which two consecutive menstrual cycles are greater than 35 days and less than 3 months, also known as late menstruation. There are two main factors for this kind of irregular menstruation: one is pregnancy and the other is irregular menstruation. Do a morning urine pregnancy test more than 7 days after your period. If the result is positive, you are likely to be pregnant. If it is negative, further tests for irregular menstruation are required.
