Symptoms of painless abortion infection

Now, some people, faced with the unexpected surprise - pregnancy, will choose abortion without being well prepared. Abortion is painful for sure, so people have a new option - painless abortion. In fact, the so-called painless abortion is a surgical abortion with intravenous anesthesia to terminate the pregnancy. Therefore, attention should be paid to postoperative care, otherwise it is easy to cause infection. Let's talk about the symptoms of painless abortion infection.

1. Bleeding symptoms: This indicates infection. Generally, there will be bleeding symptoms during abortion. This is because after the placenta is separated during painless abortion, there may be a small amount of bleeding on the wound left on the uterine wall. In this case, as the uterus contracts and the wound repairs, vaginal bleeding will gradually stop within 3-5 days and will not exceed 10-15 days at most. However, if it lasts more than 15 days and the amount of bleeding exceeds the menstrual volume, it is abnormal and you should go to the hospital in time to find out the cause.

2. Brown discharge: Brown discharge may occur after abortion and it may also be a case of infection: Generally, there will be brown discharge after a painless abortion. This is because the surface of the uterus is traumatized and the wound slowly heals. The membrane that falls off the wound is brown. This process usually takes about three days. If it exceeds three days, it will be an infection.

3. There will also be mild abdominal pain: There may be mild lower abdominal discomfort, pain or a small amount of vaginal bleeding on the day after the painless abortion. If the abdominal pain is severe or the vaginal bleeding is heavy or lasts for a long time, the bleeding will not stop. 4. Others: There may also be lower abdominal pain, back pain, continuous vaginal bleeding, fever and other symptoms. Some women may experience these symptoms after having an abortion and they don’t know why. This could be a post-operative infection.

Once it is confirmed that there is infection after abortion, anti-infection treatment must be carried out immediately and the patient must go to the hospital for a follow-up examination in time to prevent the inflammation from spreading to the pelvic cavity and causing deep tissue infection, which may lead to infertility. Female friends need to go to the hospital for relevant B-ultrasound examination about 7-10 days after the abortion. The main purpose is to see whether there is any incomplete abortion, whether there is any postoperative infection, and the recovery of the endometrium.
