What causes hemorrhoids in women?

The occurrence of hemorrhoids is actually very common, and almost all adults have suffered from hemorrhoids. Due to their physiological structure, female friends are more likely to suffer from hemorrhoids than male friends. There are generally many causes of hemorrhoids, such as constipation, infection, pregnancy, sitting for a long time, etc. If you want to prevent the occurrence of hemorrhoids, you must have good living habits and eating habits.

1. Constipation: Prolonged defecation or long-term diarrhea can increase abdominal pressure, cause congestion in the anorectum, varicose veins, and even cause the rectal mucosa to separate from the muscle layer and the anal canal to move downward with the feces, which can easily lead to hemorrhoids over time.

2. Infectious factors: Anal sinusitis, anal gland infection, perianal abscess, dysentery, enteritis, intestinal parasitic disease, colitis, etc. can cause inflammation of the tissues around the lower rectum, involvement of the hemorrhoidal veins, inflammation, making the walls of the hemorrhoidal veins brittle, and secondary vascular dilation and congestion, causing or aggravating hemorrhoids.

3. Pregnancy and childbirth: In pregnant women, the fetus compresses the pelvic veins, obstructing venous return and causing vascular dilation in the anorectal area. At the same time, due to the increase in progesterone levels in the body, water and sodium retention occurs, vascular dilation occurs, and hemorrhoids are induced.

4. Local irritation and improper diet: Exposure of the anus to cold or heat, constipation, diarrhea, excessive drinking and eating spicy food can all irritate the anus and rectum, causing congestion of the hemorrhoidal venous plexus, affecting venous blood return and resulting in a decrease in the resistance of the venous wall.

5. Insufficient exercise: Reduced intestinal motility, slow downward movement of stool, or habitual constipation can compress and stimulate the veins, causing local congestion and blood reflux obstruction, resulting in increased pressure in the hemorrhoidal veins and reduced resistance of the venous wall.

6. Sitting or standing for a long time: Due to the pressure of gravity and internal organs, the veins are prone to congestion.
