How to deal with breast lumps?

Breast lumps are common in postpartum women. This is mostly caused by milk engorgement. It can be cured by gentle massage and hot compress, and by draining the milk. For other lumps, you can massage them yourself to see if they disappear. If they do not disappear, it is best to go to a regular hospital for examination so that the cause can be determined more accurately.

Don't panic

When you find a lump in your breast, don't panic or be depressed. Don't make a mess before anything happens. Maybe it's just a small nodule, or lobular hyperplasia of the breast, or fibroma...these are not big problems. Keeping your mind calm is good for your health.

palpation

If you feel a lump in your breast, you can feel it first. Women should pay attention to their breast health and be able to palpate their own breasts: put your fingers together, gently press the left breast with your right hand, feel the structure inside the breast with your fingertips, press along the outermost side of the left breast step by step, in a clockwise direction until the entire breast is checked. When you touch a lump, pay attention to whether it hurts and whether you can push it.

Hospital visits

Find a time to go to a qualified hospital as soon as possible, and then find a breast specialist to examine you. Remember to provide your full medical history, including when it was discovered and whether you have any pain. Provide as comprehensive a medical history as possible to facilitate the doctor's analysis.
