How many days does milk swelling last after 4 months of induced labor?

Because some women still have breast engorgement after induced abortion, breast engorgement does not only occur during breastfeeding. Women with breast engorgement will feel uncomfortable in their breasts, so it needs to be solved immediately.

After induced labor, especially induction of labor in late pregnancy, breast edema will occur, and the time of breast edema usually lasts about a week. You can use drugs to stop milk production. After the uterine curettage, you can take Bujiale or maltose or vitamin B26. These drugs are very effective in treating breast engorgement and have the effect of stopping milk production. During this period, try to drink less porridge and do not express milk by hand. If you squeeze breast milk, it is easy to cause mastitis, and the duration of milk engorgement will be longer. This is mainly because the support of the milk can inhibit the pituitary gland from secreting lactogen, so that milk secretion will stop.

Breast swelling after abortion is a common phenomenon. This kind of obstruction is mostly caused by the secretion of milk due to increased prolactin secretion. There is no need to worry too much. Generally, it will disappear gradually and on its own after about a week. It is recommended to take ethinyl estradiol orally during this period. Generally, intramuscular injection is more effective and has relatively few side effects. When the breasts are swollen and painful during the weaning period, apply a hot cotton towel, and then do some appropriate liposuction, the symptoms will be relieved. There is also a simpler method, which is to use one or two grams of malt, boil water, and take it orally for a more significant effect.

What to do if you have breast milk after induced abortion

1. If you continue to have breast milk after induced abortion and your breasts are hard, you can stop breastfeeding to treat it. The most common treatment is vitamin B26, 200 mg orally three times a day for three days; you can also take Bujiale 5 mg orally three times a day. Also be careful not to eat foods that increase milk production.

2. Or use some Chinese medicine for milk reduction to apply to the breasts, which also has a very good effect. For example, 120g of roasted malt, add water to boil, and take it warm three times; or eat a bowl of soybean milk, add a small amount of sugar; or first suck out the milk, use 50-60g of saltpeter, put it in a tea bag, apply it to the breasts, and replace it immediately after deliquescing, 3-4 times a day.

3. Or you can also use some folk remedies to treat it. If you continue to have breast milk after induced abortion, it means that you have a lot of milk, you can apply Glauber's salt externally. The method is to first make two gauze bags of the same size as the breasts, put Glauber's salt into the bags, spread them evenly, sprinkle a small amount of warm water on them to make them slightly stick to the bags, then cover them on the breasts and wear a bra on the outside. If the milk secretion is excessive and the bag is dry, pour out the Glauber's salt from the bag and replace it with two new bags to fill it up again. The replaced bags should be cleaned, dried and kept aside until the milk stops being secreted, and then discontinued.
