Why do girls get pelvic inflammatory disease?

Almost 80% of women suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease to varying degrees, which is also a very troublesome disease. Not only does it cause a lot of harm, but it also takes a long time to treat, and it is easy to relapse if not treated completely. Suffering from chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, patients generally have irregular menstruation, excessive leucorrhea, yellowish color, and even infertility. So, why do women get chronic pelvic inflammatory disease?

1. Not paying attention to hygiene during menstruation: During menstruation, the uterine wall is peeling and blood clots exist, which are good conditions for the growth of bacteria. If you do not pay attention to hygiene during menstruation, use handkerchiefs or sanitary napkins that do not meet the quality standards, or have sex, it will provide bacteria with the opportunity to reverse infection and cause pelvic inflammatory disease.

2. Infection after childbirth or abortion: Women have a weak constitution after giving birth or a young child, and the cervix has not closed well after dilation. At this time, the bacteria in the vagina and cervix are likely to rise, and then infect the pelvis, causing pelvic inflammatory disease.

3. Infection after gynecological minimally invasive surgery: During IUD insertion or removal surgery, fallopian tube hydrotubation, artificial abortion surgery, and uterine polypectomy, if the disinfection and sterilization are not strict or there is original urinary tract inflammation, it is very likely to cause postoperative infection and pelvic inflammatory disease.

4. Spread of inflammation of adjacent organs: The most common is the occurrence of appendicitis and peritonitis. Because they are close to the female reproductive organs, the inflammation can spread directly and cause female pelvic inflammation.

5. Failure of sexual partners to receive treatment is a key factor in infection. Male partners who are positive for chlamydia or mycoplasma, or other pathogens, are the main sources of infection and attacks in women, and 80% of the sexual partners of women with pelvic inflammatory disease are not treated. Their lack of symptoms does not mean that they are not infected with gram-negative bacteria such as gonorrhea.

6. Male partners who are not treated and are positive for chlamydia or mycoplasma, or other pathogens, are the main source of infection and attacks in women, and 80% of the sexual partners of women with pelvic inflammatory disease are not treated. Their lack of symptoms does not mean that they are not infected with gram-negative bacteria such as gonorrhea.
