Can I have sex after the fertilized egg implants?

Can I have sex after the fertilized egg implants?

The fusion of sperm and egg produces sperm-egg fusion, and the embryo can only reach the uterus after successful implantation 6-7 days after the fusion of sperm and egg. The successful combination of sperm and egg and embryo implantation means that the process of the birth and creation of new life has taken the first step. So, what should we pay attention to after the embryo implants? Can we still have sex after the embryo implants?

If the embryo has implanted, can I have sex?

It is advisable to avoid sexual intercourse after the embryo is implanted to prevent miscarriage. It is recommended that you use an early pregnancy test to check whether you are pregnant two weeks after sexual intercourse during the ovulation period or one week after the menstrual period.

How long does it take for pregnancy to occur after sperm and egg fusion?

1. It takes about 24 hours for sperm and egg to combine. When a capacitated sperm enters the zona pellucida of a secondary coil oocyte, sperm-oocyte fusion begins. When the sex chromosomes of the egg pronucleus and sperm pronucleus combine together, it means that the sperm-egg fusion has taken place.

2. During the cleavage and blastocyst production period, the somatic cells of the sperm and egg undergo metabolic changes, and the trophoblast cells are inside the protruding adhesions that cover the adjacent somatic cells. Since the cell surface can transmit environmental influences to the test tube embryo, the changes in the cell surface can be described by nutrient uptake, division, preparation for embryo implantation or mitosis.

3. After 36 hours of sperm and egg combining in the bilateral fallopian tubes, they disintegrate into two somatic cells, and after 72 hours they disintegrate into 16 somatic cells, which are called morula.

4. On the 4th day after fertilization, the cell mass enters the uterus and continues to grow in the uterus. At this time, the cells have broken down into 48 cells, becoming a blastocyst ready for implantation. The blastocyst can secrete a growth hormone that helps the blastocyst embed itself into the uterine wall.

5. On the 6th to 7th day after fertilization, the blastocyst begins to implant. The embryo implantation site is mostly in the upper 1/3 of the uterus. Embryo implantation means that the test tube embryo has been implanted and has begun to form the embryo and create a fetus.

Therefore, 6-7 days after the fusion of sperm and egg, the combination of sperm and egg will complete the process of embryo implantation. The answer to how long it will take for pregnancy to occur after the fusion of sperm and egg is 6-7 days.
