What are the symptoms of lobular breast hyperplasia?

Female lobular breast hyperplasia is one of many female breast diseases. It poses a great potential threat to human health. Therefore, it is very necessary to understand the symptoms of lobular breast hyperplasia. In fact, there are three symptoms of lobular hyperplasia of the breast. The first symptom is breast pain.

1. Breast pain: Patients with lobular hyperplasia of the breast often feel breast swelling and dull pain. About 80% of patients with lobular breast hyperplasia have symptoms of breast pain, such as distension, tingling or dull pain in one or both breasts. Some patients cannot touch their breasts when the pain is severe. Breast pain is mainly located in the swollen breast area and can radiate to the armpits, chest, flanks, shoulders, back, and upper limbs. Some may also present as nipple pain or itching. Breast pain fluctuates with mood and menstrual cycle. Breast pain often worsens before menstruation or when you are angry or depressed, and the pain is significantly reduced or disappears after menstruation. This kind of emotional and menstrual related breast pain is a clear symptom of lobular breast hyperplasia!

2. Breast lumps: Breast lumps are also one of the symptoms of lobular hyperplasia of the breast. Single or multiple breast lumps may be found on one or both sides of the breast. Breast lumps are prone to occur on the outer and upper part of the breast and appear in the form of flakes, nodes, granules, or cords, with flakes being the most common. The breast lump has unclear boundaries, is medium or slightly hard, movable, has no adhesion to surrounding tissues, and may be tender. Breast lumps vary in size, ranging from as small as a grain of sand to as large as 3-4CM. Breast lumps increase in size before menstruation and decrease in size and soften after menstruation.

3. There are other accompanying symptoms of lobular breast hyperplasia: patients often feel bad or irritable, and the symptoms worsen when angry, nervous or tired. Patients with lobular hyperplasia of the breast may also experience symptoms of irregular menstruation such as dysmenorrhea and irregular menstruation. A small number of patients may experience brown or yellowish fluid discharge from the nipple.
