Uterine fibroid surgery, the scientific method is like this

For uterine fibroids, patients need to go to a regular hospital for a systematic examination. If the condition is not serious, conservative treatment can be adopted, but if the condition develops very seriously, surgical treatment is required. The above introduces the relevant knowledge about uterine fibroids surgery.

1. The current methods for treating uterine fibroids include conservative treatment and surgical treatment, which are mainly determined by the patient's condition, such as the number, size, and location of the fibroids, the patient's age, and fertility status. Conservative treatment includes drug therapy and placement of an intrauterine ring. It is more suitable for patients with milder conditions, under 40 years old, and with fertility needs. Patients with more complicated conditions, no fertility needs, and single uterine fibroids with a diameter of more than 5 cm are best considered surgical treatment.

2. Surgical treatment is divided into myomectomy and hysterectomy. Myomectomy is a surgery that only removes the fibroids, preserving fertility, but it is prone to recurrence. It is more suitable for patients with small fibroids and few fibroids who want to have children.

3. Patients with any of the following conditions are best treated with hysterectomy:

1. The diameter of a single uterine fibroid exceeds 5 cm;

2. Uterine fibroids grow rapidly in a short period of time. If the growth rate is too fast, it may become cancerous.

3. Fibroids grow on the endometrium, causing mucosal bleeding, prolonged menstruation, heavy menstruation, and severe anemia;

4. Uterine fibroids compress other organs and tissues such as the bladder, or cause other diseases;

5. The location where the fibroids grow is quite special and the danger is high.

4. Postoperative care for uterine fibroid surgery:

1. After uterine fibroid surgery, patients should have a regular lifestyle, healthy eating habits, regular skin care, and scientific daily maintenance methods. Try to eat less greasy, fried, smoked or grilled foods.

2. Although the operation does not affect pregnancy, it should be noted that the patient cannot get pregnant immediately after the operation because there are scars on the uterus from removing the fibroids. Some fibroids are larger and deeper, and after removal it is like a caesarean section, and the uterus needs a certain recovery process. If the patient becomes pregnant immediately before the wound has fully healed, there is still a risk of uterine rupture.

3. If severe anemia occurs after surgery for uterine fibroids, it is necessary to eat more foods high in iron, such as pork liver, black sesame, grapes, seaweed, wolfberry, shiitake mushrooms, etc. Eat more vegetables and fruits, especially tomatoes. Also keep a happy mood.

4. After uterine fibroid surgery, eat at regular times and in fixed amounts, and do not overeat. Adhere to a low-fat diet and eat more lean meat, eggs, green vegetables, fruits, etc. Eat nutritious dried fruits often, such as peanuts, sesame seeds, melon seeds, etc.; generally speaking, foods that have the effect of contracting the uterus, such as coix seed and hawthorn, do not have much to do with the occurrence and development of uterine fibroids.

5. After the operation, if the patient is relatively old or in poor health, he should eat more liquid food to help digestion. However, one thing patients need to be reminded of is that they must pay attention to the nutritional value of liquid food. Nutrition is very important for recovering patients.
