How soon after a biopsy can I exercise?

After a woman develops a cervical disease, she needs to be tested to rule out cervical cancer, so she usually chooses to do a cervical puncture biopsy, which can directly understand the health of her cervix. However, some people worry that a cervical puncture biopsy will affect their normal work and life. So, how long after a cervical puncture biopsy can you exercise?

Women can only carry out light activities after cervical puncture biopsy. It is okay after 2 days. Generally, you can do physical exercise after 2 weeks. But don't rush to do excessive exercise. Start with slow exercise to see if the body can bear it, and then gradually increase the intensity of exercise. In short, it is best to do what you can. Cervical puncture biopsy is a pathological examination of living tissue taken from the cervix to diagnose the disease and then formulate a treatment method. Before conducting a cervical puncture biopsy, some common questions are:

1. It is not advisable to check during menstruation: It is best for women to do cervical puncture biopsy within the third to seventh day after the end of menstruation. Please note that cervical puncture biopsy cannot be performed during menstruation.

2. Do not have sexual intercourse: Do not have sexual intercourse 2 days before cervical puncture biopsy. This is mainly because sexual intercourse will affect the natural environment of the female vagina. If there is residual semen in the vagina on the slices, it will affect the test results and cause errors in the diagnosis of the disease.

3. Private parts: Do not flush the vagina before performing cervical puncture biopsy, as doing so will wash away a small amount of positive cells and affect the test results. The private area can be cleaned with cold water the day before the cervical puncture biopsy. Remember that vaginal medications are strictly prohibited before cervical puncture biopsy.

4. Diet: You need to be careful about your diet 3 days before cervical puncture biopsy. Do not eat greasy and indigestible foods, drink alcohol or smoke, and also be careful to stop taking some medicines that have an impact on liver and kidney function. You need to be on an empty stomach on the day of the cervical biopsy.
