What to do if you have stomach acid during pregnancy? Take these measures

Morning sickness during pregnancy is very normal, which is also related to the stomach acid in the body, but excessive stomach acid is not good for pregnant women. What to do if women have excessive stomach acid during pregnancy is also a question that many people are concerned about. In response to this situation, pregnant women can improve their diet and focus on a light diet.

1. First of all, the diet should be light. After the stomach pain symptoms are alleviated, high-calorie and high-nutrition foods can be gradually added. Smaller, more frequent meals are easier to digest. Drinking water, eating more fruits and vegetables, raisins, and whole grains can help digestion.

2. Some daily vitamin supplements contain digestive ingredients. All of the above can help pregnant women digest. If the stomach pain symptoms are relatively severe, you can use 20 grams of white peony root and 10 grams of roasted licorice to make a decoction and take it, one dose per day, decocting each dose three times and taking it in three times. Heat it appropriately before each dose.

3. Do not eat without restraint. It is advisable to eat small meals frequently, at regular times and in fixed quantities to avoid hunger pain. Or when the pain is more obvious, you can eat one or two soda crackers.

4. Avoid eating too much MSG, spicy and sour, and overly salty foods. You should mainly eat light food. Excessive consumption of strong, sour and spicy food will stimulate the secretion of gastric acid and aggravate the condition. But a small amount of ginger and pepper can warm the stomach and enhance the protective effect of the mucous membrane.

5. Avoid eating two hours before going to bed. Eating frequently within two hours before going to bed can easily cause the sphincter to relax, leading to gastric acid reflux into the esophagus. Some people are accustomed to eating midnight snacks and going to sleep on their backs with a full stomach, which also makes it easier for stomach acid to reflux.

6. Avoid eating greasy or fried foods. When eating, try to choose easily digestible foods. You can eat meat in moderation, but make sure it is cooked thoroughly, and do not cook vegetables half-cooked.
