Will vaginal bleeding occur in ectopic pregnancy?

When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, vaginal bleeding will occur, which is the most typical manifestation. In addition to the symptoms of vaginal bleeding, there will also be abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, frequent urination, etc., and you should also pay attention to the B-ultrasound examination.

1. Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy , is a pregnancy that occurs in a location other than the uterus. In a normal pregnancy, the sperm and egg meet in the fallopian tube and combine to form a fertilized egg, which then swims to the uterus, implants in the uterus and develops into a fetus. If for some reason the fertilized egg "sets up camp" somewhere other than the uterine cavity, it is an ectopic pregnancy. The most common ectopic pregnancy is a fallopian tube pregnancy. It is difficult for a fertilized egg to sustain a fallopian tube pregnancy. Within 1 to 2 months after menopause, the gradually growing fertilized egg will rupture the fallopian tube, causing heavy bleeding, shock, and even life-threatening.

2. The main manifestations of ectopic pregnancy

1. Amenorrhea lasts from several days to dozens of days after the menstrual period, and often occurs without being detected.

2. Abdominal pain, heavy pain in the lower abdomen, a feeling of defecation, sometimes severe pain, accompanied by cold sweat.

3. Vaginal bleeding is usually a small amount.

4. Other symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, and frequent urination.

5. If the pregnancy test is positive, ultrasound scan or laparoscopy can assist in the diagnosis.

The symptoms of ectopic pregnancy are often atypical. Some patients may go into shock due to heavy bleeding, become pale, and have low blood pressure. At this time, you should consider whether an ectopic pregnancy has occurred and seek timely treatment.

III. Emergency Measures

(1) If an ectopic pregnancy is suspected, the patient should be sent to hospital for treatment immediately. Avoid activity and lie down. Emergency laparotomy is usually done.

(2) If the patient is far from the hospital, blood volume can be replenished before transportation, or hemostatic drugs can be used as appropriate.
