When there is leucorrhea, is it the ovulation period?

Leucorrhea is a normal secretion of women. Because leucorrhea is also related to ovulation, many people want to know whether ovulation has come when they have leucorrhea. In fact, this situation is not certain. It mainly depends on the shape of the leucorrhea, because it may also be a physiological reaction.

1. Women's vaginal discharge often increases during ovulation, and it will appear like egg white and can be stretched into long threads. After ovulation, due to a series of endocrine changes caused by the gradual decrease in estrogen levels in the body, the amount of vaginal discharge will decrease, and it will appear milky white and sticky, and it is not easy to stretch into long threads. Such physiological reactions are normal and women do not need to worry too much.

2. Ovulation is the process in which the egg cell and the surrounding cumulus granulosa cells are discharged together. A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tube for 1-2 days, waiting for fertilization; the male's sperm can maintain its fertilization ability in the female's reproductive tract for 2-3 days, so it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse a few days before and after the egg is released. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period. Because it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, the ovulation period is also called the fertile period or the dangerous period.

3. Women's leucorrhea will indeed increase during ovulation. Under normal circumstances, the leucorrhea is milky white or colorless and transparent. Sometimes it will be a little sticky but not sticky. During the ovulation period, the amount of leucorrhea will increase significantly, but at other times the amount is very small. If there are any abnormalities in the leucorrhea, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a check-up.
