Premature ovarian failure infertility refers to a situation in which a woman once had a natural menstrual cycle but develops persistent amenorrhea due to ovarian atrophy before the age of 35. At the same time, women with clinical manifestations of secondary sexual characteristics regression and premature ovarian failure will experience menopausal symptoms such as hot face, irritability, and restlessness. They are prone to catching colds and their blood follicle-stimulating hormone levels are elevated, reaching more than 40 units, which is equivalent to the level of postmenopausal women.

Clinical manifestations

① Menstrual disorders. Patients experience infrequent menstruation or even amenorrhea before the age of 40.

②Female infertility.

③ Menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, sweating, mood swings, insomnia, memory loss, loss of libido, sexual dysfunction, and even atrophy of reproductive organs.

④Changes in female hormone levels: Increased levels of pituitary gonadotropin. For example, blood FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone) remain above 40 units/L; blood estradiol (E2) is lower than 50-70 picomoles/L; and blood progesterone is lower than 2 millimoles/L.
