What causes vulvar hyperplasia?

What causes vulvar hyperplasia?

For female friends, if they want to treat and solve the problem of vulvar hyperplasia, they must pay attention to analyzing and understanding the causes. Some common genital infection problems are also related to it. In particular, if they do not pay attention to hygiene, often wear synthetic underwear, and do not pay attention to the cleanliness of sanitary products, these diseases will be caused.

1. Genital infection

Vaginitis can be caused by poor hygiene habits in women, such as wearing synthetic underwear, unclean sanitary products, bathing in public baths, swimming in bathing areas, etc. If it is not treated in time, the inflammatory secretions will infiltrate the perineum, and long-term infection and stimulation will damage the skin and mucous membranes, causing redness, swelling, ulcers and lesions, which will gradually develop into vulvar leukoplakia.

2. Genetic factors

About 10%-30% of patients with vulvar leukoplakia are caused by genetics. Genetically caused vulvar leukoplakia is mainly atrophic type, and the patients are mainly young girls. In clinical practice, genetic factors should be considered first for patients under the age of 15, and their parents' family members should be checked to see if there are any patients with vulvar leukoplakia.

3. Endocrine disorders

There is a tissue-specific protein hormone called "inhibitin" in the dermis that can inhibit the division and growth of epidermal cells and only acts locally on the epidermis. Endocrine disorders cause an imbalance between local connective tissue hyperplasia and the stimulation of epidermal metabolism, leading to the appearance of vulvar leukoplakia.

4. Birth injuries

Pregnant women may tear their perineum during childbirth. Large areas of perineum tearing can damage blood vessels and surrounding peripheral nerves, causing local neurovascular damage and local malnutrition. A small number of women will develop vulvar leukoplakia as a result.

5. Inflammatory stimulation

It causes local nerve and blood vessel damage, and a small number of parturients develop inflammations such as trichomoniasis vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, cervical erosion, etc., which leads to increased vulvar secretions and leucorrhea, and long-term irritation to the vulva, causing vulvar leukoplakia.

6. Other diseases

If women suffer from diseases such as diabetes, vulvar eczema, vulvar itching, etc., if they abuse drugs and cause improper treatment, it is very likely to cause or aggravate the formation and development of vulvar leukoplakia.
