How many days does it take for the follicles to mature? Learn professional physiological knowledge

As we all know, women have several days of ovulation every month. In other words, ovulation is required every month, so new follicles are generated every month. It takes a period of time for large follicles to grow from small to large and mature. How many days does it take approximately?

1. The follicles generally begin to develop on the 5th to 7th day of the menstrual cycle, and then they will gradually grow bigger every day until the 14th day, when the follicles reach their largest size and ovulation occurs. Don't mistakenly believe that the follicles are directly discharged from the body. Instead, the follicles rupture and are then discharged from the body. It usually takes about 14 days for a follicle to develop from a primordial follicle to a mature follicle. If the follicle is underdeveloped, that is, premature ovulation or delayed ovulation occurs, then you should pay attention to whether there are any health problems in your body. Because poor follicular development will affect conception, if it is discovered early, it is best to go to the hospital for sex hormone tests.

2. It is often believed that the development of the primordial follicle to mature ovulation is completed during the proliferative phase (follicular phase) of a menstrual cycle (about 10 to 15 days). In fact, the growth rate of follicles is very slow. The development of a primary follicle to maturity and ovulation is not completed within one menstrual cycle. The development and maturation of the primary follicle takes several menstrual cycles to complete. If you go to the hospital for follicle monitoring, you should monitor every other day starting from the 10th day of your period. If your menstrual cycle is irregular, you should monitor every other day from the 10th to the 14th day, and start monitoring every day from the 14th day.

3. Under normal circumstances, one egg matures in a month, in batches, and is discharged about fourteen days before the next menstruation.

Suggestions: The eggs develop from the primordial follicles of the ovaries, and all the eggs in a woman's life are generated by proliferation during the fetal period. There are approximately 300,000 to 400,000 primordial follicles in the neonatal period.

4. It takes about half a month for the egg to develop and mature. Take follicle-stimulating drugs from the fifth day of menstruation, and start monitoring the maturity of follicles from the 11th day of menstruation.

Suggestions: Hello, the size of a normal mature follicle is 1.8-2.5cm. Only mature follicles can be discharged normally, and the egg generally survives for 12 to 24 hours.
