Symptoms of AIDS in women, be alert after reading this

Many people's faces change when they hear about AIDS, which shows everyone's fear of this disease. However, many people in life unfortunately suffer from this disease. As the severity of the disease varies, the symptoms are also different.

(1) HIV infection: There are no clinical symptoms after HIV infection, only HIV antibody test in the blood is positive. About 90% of people newly infected with HIV do not develop AIDS-related syndrome or AIDS. However, when the body's resistance is reduced or the body is attacked by disease or trauma, the disease will occur.

(2) AIDS-related syndrome: Patients experience unexplained enlargement of two or more lymph nodes other than the inguinal lymph nodes for more than three months, and systemic symptoms such as fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, emaciation, weight loss, persistent diarrhea, night sweats, etc. If at least two of the above symptoms and two abnormal AIDS laboratory tests are present, they can be diagnosed with AIDS-related syndrome. Some people remain in this state, while others develop severe AIDS.

(3) AIDS stage: The main manifestations are pathogenic infections, including protozoan, fungal, viral, and bacterial infections, the occurrence of malignant tumors such as Kaposi's sarcoma and lymphoma, and cellular immune deficiencies of unknown cause.

There are four types of clinical manifestations of AIDS:

A. Pulmonary type: manifested by hypoxia, dyspnea, chest pain and diffuse pulmonary infiltration on X-ray examination. Lung infection accounts for 50% of AIDS symptoms, of which pneumonia caused by Pneumocystis carinii accounts for 80%.

B. Central nervous system type: This type occurs in about 30% of AIDS cases. It is caused by pathogens infecting the central nervous system or tumors, vascular complications and brain damage in the central nervous system, resulting in headaches, impaired consciousness, dementia, convulsions, and focal and peripheral nerve dysfunction, leading to serious consequences.

C. Gastrointestinal type: watery diarrhea, 10-20 times a day, and water loss. Nutrient depletion and loss, weight loss, weakness. The main pathogen is Cryptosporidium.

D. Fever of unknown cause: due to infection by pathogens, high fever, malaise, fatigue and swollen lymph nodes all over the body occur.
